So someone was talking about how they put the truck into 4high and 4low occasionally to get the parts moving. I bought my truck at 68k miles so I have no clue what the previous owner did. I've used 4high a lot on some trails but never touched 4low. Decided to throw it in there and driving it made this whining noise, not sure how to explain it. Maybe like when you go in reverse and the speed limiter/govener/whatever is keeping you from going too fast.

Just to double check, Is that what it's doing in 4low too or is it something else. Only does it in 4low.

Pretty sure that's normal noise. I'll have to check later

    Metric shit ton of parts
Completely normal. Low range gears are cut straighter. The straighter the cut, the louder it gets.
