Butte shipped my shift knob end of last week and it was delivered yesterday. It's awesome...never imagined something as simple as a shift knob would be that big of deal but what a difference. Nice upgrade for sure. They should come standard on the all Tundras IMO...

Installed my Cold Air Intake today. Easy install. I must say while it looks cool, I noticed literally no difference versus stock on small town roads and at idle. Good thing it was 40% off. I will get it highway tomorrow. Maybe I will notice a difference then!

Yup makes ZERO difference, it’s about the look. The 1 or 2 hp you might get on a 6k lb truck is like trying to notice a fly on your shoulder. Anyone who says they notice a difference is suffering from phantom limb syndrome. Lol

I am still waiting for my trd radiator cap and trd oil cap. Serra Toyota of Decatur said last Friday they were back ordered and I still haven’t received anything. Good grief.

I know this sounds absolutely crazy but after installing the intake I immediately filled up. I track every mile on the fuelly app. Fill up at the same gas station and pump every time. I drive the exact same route every day to work. Ex's rly 80.6 miles round trip. Go out to lunch in stop and go every day. Mostly back roads driving to get to work. Prior to the TRD cold air intake, the best I averaged on a tank was 16.4. My first tank I averaged 17.1. I am on my second tank and I am in pace for 17.5. Again, not by the computer but by fuelly app calculations.

Coincidence, maybe. But through the first 700 miles of getting it on the truck I am seeing about a .7 increase.

I am in the school of CAI do nothing as I have owned many of them just for fun. Bought this one be side of the sale and price but my Tundra seems to be responding well to it actually.

Pictured is the 17.1 first tank with the CAI in it. Fill up coming tomorrow so I will get second tank numbers tomorrow.

Almost regret doing the SABM now and should have waited for the CAI.

I dont see why you couldnt do both. The CAI uses the bottom of the stock air box. Although you are probably getting more out of the SABM then you would the CAI, it would only be for looks at this point.

Finally got time to install the TRD skid plate. Did have one issue, unable to reattach my Elev8ted brackets due to bolt length. Reattach the OEM tow brackets.

Nice, get some black high heat paint and paint the exhaust pipe. It will look 100 times better for about $7.00.

I filled up yesterday. Backed it up with 17.0 MPG. Normal driving, nothing crazy. Good amount highway but quite a bit stop and go, city, etc.....

I really could care less about MPG as I knew what ai would be getting when I bought the truck. I get better than expected, the 2 new Ford guys at work are complaining as they are not sniffing what they expect to get and less than me. 1 3.5 ecoboost, the other is 5.0.

Edit: I threw out last tank as the whole tank was driving to Ohio to drop off a trailer to my dad. 5x12 utility trailer and got 15.6 towing that.

Nice. I did the rear sway bar too but my on the passenger was up against the transmission. I think its because I have the CB3 install. On the driver side there is alittle space but not much. Is your truck suspension stock?

The rear sway is an awesome mod. Instantly noticeable. Should'be done it sooner or come from the factory with it.
