40% Off Select TRD parts 4/4/19

They are dealers. Of course they are.

They just called and said that my truck wont be ready till tomorrow morning.
Promise everything, sign the paper, never hear from them again.

 

That would be shady to include pictures of intakes, exhausts and skid plates yet only offer the discount on hats and filters. Given the ridiculous mark-up of OEM products, the fact that it’s only 24hrs and only at participating dealers makes me thing that some of these products really will be available. TRD branded only though, so no headlights, etc.
A majority of these dealers have the highest prices already so they aren’t really “losing” much. Compared to say Sparks Parts or Cool Springs that routinely offer online discounts of “30%” from OEM MSRP.
Time will tell!

Nope. It's another one of those Toyota sales that doesn't include dealers who aren't selling through their online platform.

It would be nice to snag the TRD dual exhaust for 40% off...

 

I'll be all over this for some TRD Pro wheels for the wife's 4Runner if they're included in the sale.

I called a local dealer and they are not participating in this sale..

 

I'm afraid there will be one dealer participating...no matter where you live, it will be 500+ miles away. The shipping will negate the discount and considering the prices will be higher than normal, you'll actually end up spending more.
But I'm optimistic.

 

The more I read the more disappointing I’m getting. They’re not gonna have 40% off the things we all want.

 

There are three participating dealers within roughly 25 miles of me. I’m sure living in SoCal helps. There are car dealerships on practically every corner...

There's 20+ dealers around the Atlanta area...so no shortage. I really don't want to have to call each of them to find out who's participating.
According to the Toyota site here, there will be little flags on what's eligible, by who's participating

Agreed. After all, Toyota will do what they do best. Market.
I know they already got my attention. Enough to check out the websites at least on the 4th. If it gets complicated and requires trips to dealer I’ll probably just pass, drink a beer, and enjoy the money that I didn’t spend.

Sweet, I hope this is true as I would like the TRD intake so I can listen to the noise!!!

 

I am guessing this will not include the 2019 Pro Fox Suspension.

 

Unfortunately no, unless they released them to the public before then.

 

Sparks has the TRD exhaust listed as 39% off, which brings it down to $1k. Are we to expect this sale, if it includes the exhaust, to only put it just under $1k? Not a real savings compared to normally aggressive pricing from some sources?

 

Heads Up on shipping. I have been searching the dealers for best price/shipping combo for trd skid plate. In the time I started searching every deal I found has since changed the shipping prices within the last hour, some by as much as $40. They are going to play games with the shipping so it would be best to pickup if you can.

 

Any first gen stuff?

 

My local dealer was listed on the website and they had the Pro shocks under the TRD performance tab.

This is definitely a marketing ploy.

Participating dealers will not lose money, though I think it would be likely that Toyota somehow credits these dealers for eligible parts sales for their website fees.

I'm sure there will be some savings to be had, but not as much as hoping.

The strategy will be to first find a dealer that you would be willing to drive to (and is a participating dealer), selecting local pickup at checkout - which should waive shipping fees (hopefully they don't add a convenience fee) at checkout, then shopping exclusively on their site.
