I just picked up a 24 as well and I agree the 6.5 needs a lift, curious how you are liking the lift? Do the tires look appropriate with the new height? I am worried they will look tiny but i really don’t want to sacrifice too much fuel by going with bigger tires.

I love the lift, I think it's the perfect height. It's not too much like the 6" lift all these Cali boys have on their gm's. It just looks like a truck should, like a 3/4 ton Ford. The ride is maybe a tad stiffer but feels more like new suspension rather than a classic lift like I'm used to on a square body or something.

For the tires I honestly expected them to look dinky but was surprised they actually don't look too bad. Maybe it's due to the 20" wheel seeming big to me but it fills most the wheel well. I like my plat wheels since they almost color match the MGM and I've been keeping an eye out for any used deals on a little bigger tire for the 20's. Unfortunately it seems like everyone has rubbing issues on the dropped sway bar with the Toyota recommended 285's due to the high offset on oem wheels. My goal is to get some 18" methods with either 295/70 or 35x12.5 tires. The extra sidewall will also soften the ride a little as well.

You could always meet in the middle on tire size and go up 1" to a 34 (33.5") instead of all the way to 35 but it's the weight of tires that hits mpg's. Some people also running D load instead of E. Regardless your gonna take a hit with any lift or tires so decide what is more important to you.

Got my Fox suspension in today. It's custom tuned by @AccuTune Offroad so can't wait to get it installed.

    IMG_4102.jpg

Some new wheels + tires going on too.

Here's the BEFORE pic. Not sure when I can get it all installed, but can't wait to show the end result.

I've seen a few with the 34" tires, which is what I went with. I've got the Cornfed 3/2 at the house, waiting for me to return home (been gone a while), but am seriously considering the TRD 3" lift or the RC 3.5. I know RC seems to get a beatdown from a lot of folks, but in the last couple of years on here, I've seen more and more folks happy with the RC 3.5".

Nice. Looking forward to ordering my @AccuTune Offroad setup once my finances recoup from the holiday hit. What rear springs are going to run? Just curious.

Man, the only springs worth a damn are the Dobinsons. I’ve gone through OME 2886 and 2885 and they’re dogshit compared to Dobinsons springs

Are you going Fox or King? I was leaning to a full Dobinson MRR setup eventually since I can tailor front spring weights for bumpers winch etc and I don't see spring options for the Fox/King.

Right on! I have everything I need to get mine installed, except the front shocks. No clue what the holdup is, but hopefully they show up soon.

I'm reusing my Dobinson's. I forget which part # but it's 1" lift plus higher capacity.

Probably the same ones I’m running then. I’m running the 1” with the max spring rate with the Dobinsons MRR adjustable shocks. Just wondering if Accutune offered you/pitched a different setup for the rear in addition to the front, but doesn’t sound like it.

Put in my dobinson IMS 3/2 today with DuroBumps, UCA, and some extended brake lines. Waiting on Dr. kdss trac bar correction kit and icon sway bar drop kit for the front.

what are y’all’s thoughts on the need for extended rear sway bar links?512ACE5F-A07A-4CA0-A3E2-DA6ACDC97EC5.jpg157F3C73-CFB9-4383-83A2-CA5E6DAEACB2.jpg

Very nice. Can’t wait to see if all mounted up.

Where did you get your extended brake lines from?

yotamafia. Nice guys but they are far from having the business side of things running well. I’d order from elsewhere if you can. High likelihood you’ll never see your order short of 20 calls and 10 emails only to get it weeks later.

I’m assuming they have just grown to a point that’s hard for them to manage. I’m not going to go into all the detail of everything that happened but I just ended up getting what I could refunded after a few weeks for most of it and ordering the lift from the manufacturers. Young guys trying to figure it out. Hope they succeed and manage the growth. I want them to do well.

I’ve been to their facility in FL. Seems pretty organized and everything so it’s strange your having issues. Maybe caught them sort staffed or something

Maybe it's just me, but aside from the hoodies, etc.. what is it they sell that you can't buy elsewhere? I've not done an in depth dive into their products, but most of what I see on their site is stuff you can buy directly from the manufacturers, sometimes at a lower price. It seems to me the more layers you add, the less information you'll get. Take the CBI Covert Bumper for instance. I can get it from yotamafia, or from CBI for the same price. If I want status updates, etc., I have to go through yotamafia to have them reach out to CBI. Just seems like lots could be lost in the translation.

You buy your fronts assembled? Asking because my fronts have 6-7 threads. Got mine un assembled and put them together myself per the instructions

I agree with you. Only thing you can’t get elsewhere is their brake lines. I initially ordered everything from them to support a local FL company and get it all from one place which… backfired.

I got mine un unassembled and did 6.75” measurement instead of 6.87” from center of thru bolt to top of rubber notch on the ring which gave me 2.6” of lift. I didn’t want the full 3”. Hopefully they don’t bind. We’ll see. Have you installed yours yet?

I think they stock a lot of stuff but stuff like bumpers etc they don’t. They install parts and stuff. Yotamafia started out as an Instagram page that Breland the owner started a shop out of. It’s slowly gotten bigger over the years. Idk how the process is going now but Breland the owner is a nice guy and I like supporting him, been too a lot of the events that they have.

Yeah but went with 3” 200lb front spring (have C4 bumper w/ winch) and 1” 200lb rear spring. TRD UCAs, icon sway bar spacer and icon diff drop.

Gone from Rough country N3 2” loaded strut to icon stage 4 to current Dobinsons… Think I’m done messing with the suspension.

How was the icon diff drop install?

I went with the 2” rear 0-200 lb springs. Finished today and pretty high. Just measured and it took the rear up 4”… not sure what’s going on there.

Floor creeper helps. Easy to install but icons install pics could be better… Honestly I should
Of just bought the ready lift brand one for cheaper, just some welded/molded together metal, does the same thing
