It costs $1887 shipped to Hawaii. I bought the dobinsons track bar for $375 that was available here locally(not installed). I got the Trd Uca’s from @trailhunters here on the forums for $350 shipped I think…I don’t remember.

The coachbuilder brake line location brackets were $30 shipped and the track bar location bracket was $39 shipped.

I got it aligned today and came in spot on. Drives great and swallows the crappy Hawaii roads.

My cornfed 3/1 setup was okay. Not anything compared to the dobinsons.

Rent a coil compressor from AutoZone and put them rear coils in… The factory coils are garbage

I do not condone the actions in the following picture nor will I hold any liability for broken face parts or other appendages but this worked to get the C59-843Vs in when I couldn’t get them to fit.
    Definitely don’t do this. upload_2023-5-17_21-0-49.jpg

I tried but my spring compressors had no clearance to take them off.

I’m sure i need to loosen the upper control arms and trackbar to get the coil in. I was running out of time so just wrapped it up for the time being.

disconnecting the upper links will let the rear drop a little more.

Can anyone with Dobinsons comment on the handling/comfort on heavy washboard and deeply F'd up dirt roads that rattle your teeth out at 20mph on stock suspension?

note: I just read back that sentence I wrote and wow....I think I'm a little bitter about my dirt roads...

To add to this request... I'm also curious about regular city/highway comfort. The nature of off-road shock valving usually compromises on one or the other. To me, Bilsteins ride like ass on road, but smooth out on the big stuff off road. I primarily tow a boat with my Tundra, but I don't want to sacrifice off-road prowess, or cheap out on the altitude adjustment.

I just installed my 2 inch rear dobinsons springs no problem. All you need to do is jack up one side of the axle letting the opposite side of the axle drop. I was able to muscle the coil into position. But, I have the stock spring strength. Might me a little more difficult with higher strength springs.

Hey everyone, I don’t know much about truck suspension but trying to learn . I have a few questions, currently im using westcott front leveling kit on 18x9 +18 on on 35s . Im considering getting the icons stage 2 for a 3” lift . Would I need new front coils for the front ? And to get a 1” rear lift I would need a 1”rear coil?

You don’t need new front coils and yes you need something in the rear for a 1” lift like a new coil or a spacer.

Thanks for the info . Also I’m looking at dobinson ims kit due to the option of having the red coils. Do they both perform similar ? Also a silly question can I get the dobinson 3” front coils with icon stage 2? I’d prefer the red look.

Dobinsons has both front and rear coils available in red. Here are pics of my dobinsons 3/2 suspension.

Any way you can give me the length (bolt center to bolt center) you set your rear Panhard/track bar to? I need to install mine but kind of short on time to do all the measuring.

How about you @T-MAC, do you have those measurements written down somewhere?

I made it 5/8" longer than the stock panhard and it sits just right side to side

With the 3/2 are you level or have a bit a rake? Also do you need new control arms?

I was messing around with some up travel limiting on the rear and found out the dobinson coils are making contact with the Timbren bump stops. So unless you’re willing to chop and modify stuff, don’t pair these two together upload_2023-5-21_16-38-3.jpg

Yes you will need control arms for castor. There is a slight rake once the suspension settled in. I think it's 3/4 inch higher in the back.

I’m not sure if I’d recommend timbren rear bump stops to anyone… Mine arrived rusty and bare metal in some areas

Not a big deal but just an FYI
