There’s still a bunch of items you can get but you can’t get it all. Like you can get the left side extended drive shaft but you can’t get the right side, nor the lower ball joints/tie rods.
You gotta search out all the individual numbers to know.
But I’m running yota mafias extended lines.

I ordered the kit from AMKC. I had my Toyota dealership install everything you see.

Just got a shipping notification for all of my icon stuff I ordered back in July. Coilovers, tubular upper control arm, sway drop bracket, adjustable track bar and cdcv rear shocks. 5 boxes total from fedex.

Their website is now showing some stuff in stock as well.

Ohhhh. Fingers crossed I get a phone call from my local Icon dealer soon. Ordered my kit back on July 25th. I ordered a full set of their new bump stops (front and rear) a couple of weeks ago but those are backordered for 6-8 weeks on that.

I should have mine back with TRD lift tomorrow. It was delayed because they had to order some front offset washer for non AVS shocks, like for a SR5 front end. Not sure yet if it throws a code about not having AVS. I'll give everyone the details and parts list when I get them.

After debating back and forth about going with the TRD lift I am going to pass and go aftermarket. What would be the ideal complete setup for $3500 in parts? 2.5”-3” some off-roading.. but it will be on the street and highway for most of its life. What would you choose? Spacer lifts are out of the question.

If you're willing to invest $3500 in just parts then you've got a fair amount of options.

I'll use my "kit" as a reference and show it can be tweaked to be within your budget.

My cost breakdown is as follows:
    • 3.5" Icon Stage 4 Kit - $2785 (I'll recoup some of this because I'm not using the Icon shocks in the rear so I'll be selling them)
    • OME 2866 Rear Coils - $214
    • Dobinsons Rear IMS Shocks - $650
    • Icon Adjustable Rear Track Bar - $365
    • Icon Front & Rear Bump stops - $240
    • Yota Mafia Extended Rear Brake Lines - $78
    • Total: $4,332
Note: All these prices include taxes & shipping (if any).

You could run a similar setup within your budget by eliminating the Icon track bar, Dobinsons rear shocks, the OME springs and just running a 1" rear spacer from Cornfed Off Road ($75) or the 1" spacer from ProComp (~$180, if I recall). That would save you $1229 and drop your total price down to about $3200 - $3350 depending which rear spacer you wanted to go with. You could also remove the bump stops and get it even lower, if you wanted to just add a bump stop extension up front only.

You could also look at the kit put together by Adventure Motors out of KC. As I recall, their kit starts around $3200 and goes up. There's quite a few fans of that kit on here that can weigh in with their build sheets & prices.

Additional note: Don't read as me pushing Icon. I just have experience with them and I like their "bang for the buck" factor. You could easily swap out the Icon Stage 4 kit for a similar front from Fox or King or RAD or a few other places and still (probably) be within or around your $3500 budget. If I had an endless war chest, I would probably go King

In closing, my point is this: You've got lots of options. Enjoy! Design & build your kit based on what you want to do with your truck. :muscleflexing:

I was going to go with the TRD lift kit, but decided to go Icon Stage 6 with tubular UCAs. After tax from 4wheelparts it was $3100 (arriving today and I only placed my order 2 weeks ago). Installing it tomorrow and an alignment is going to be $150.

Yo everyone. New to the forums here. Loving all the trucks, got some ideas building. Question for anyone that may know, some leveling kits specifically state that they're not compatible with the hybrid tundra. Any idea why this is? I can't think of a reason a simple spacer wouldn't be compatible.

Edit: one more question. What is everyone doing about recalibrating the TSS front sensor? Shim sensor or dealer calibration? Does the radar get effected with a leveling kit ( angle change )?

Curious what is everyone’s opinion on suspensions with the non adjustable resi? Are the adjusters worth it?

hi everybody. I'on the same boat; 3-3.5k max on suspension goodies budget. however, I'm looking to mount them on a 4x4 limited that has the rear air lift option. I know absolutely nothing about suspension stuff for trucks and hope you guys be kind enough to steer me the right direction. I don't off road and this will be a business use vehicle. I don't think a lift is necessary, however, I would love to have a responsive and smooth setup (my personal use vehicle is a subaru wrx with tricked out suspension); it's gonna be difficult for me adjusting to driving a truck, let alone a FULL size one. thanks in advance.
ps: fwiw I was looking to get the off-road package because I keep reading it's smoother than the regular suspension, but that was waaaay to much and I couldn't find a limited w/ that package.

TRD lift in the front that required some different shock mount spacers from a non AVS truck. Now it waits for the afe air bag arms in the rear because the rear sits a little low. 285/65 coopers AT3 XLTs

I used my adjusters on my Kings all the time with my Tacoma. But I off road a lot, and dialing in the response for highway vs dirt was a game changer for me. I will be ordering adjusters for my truck

@GO.XPLRE How's your suspension treating you now that it's been about 3 weeks? I assume you've put some miles on it by now. How are you liking the front setup and rear springs, etc?

I'm the opposite, had Kings with adjusters on the 5th gen 4Runner and never touched them in the 6 years I owned it past the initial setup. But I was also tuned/valved for my full loaded weight (armor/RTT/camping equipment) so it might be different. And the King adjusters aren't as robust as say the Fox DSCs or a proper King bypass. That being said, King isn't planning on making shocks without adjusters for a while.

So far it feels great for being close to stock. I think the valving, spring rates, lift height, etc. are spot on for a moderate load. I ran about 200 lbs in the back (RTT + bed rack) and it felt perfect, but I had a slight sag when I weighed it down with about 500 lbs. Not so much to where I had a reverse rake, just a bit past level. Unfortunately I haven't had time to give it a proper desert shakedown but I did hit a few whoops at speed and was pretty impressed with the suspension/wheel travel on 35s so far. Once I get some armor and the camper on I'll re-evaluate things a bit.

Sorry I may have skipped over the answer to this but does the trd lift come with new front coils? And what was it is final retail installed.

I will be putting on this same combo on my 22’ (trd lift and 35 12.50) just can’t decide if I want BG’s or Falken’s again like my current 14’

Yes it does…price for parts (kit itself) and price of install are dealer dependent so shop around.

Looking forward to some reviews on the icon kits. I’m looking to run 35”s and just want some quality parts to get me there instead of a spacer leveling kit. Mild off-roading, so don’t need remote resi coilovers for that.
Been leaning towards the icons kits, but which stage?

Good feedback. I appreciate the response. Looking forward to testing mine once my front end components get here from Icon.

Thankfully, in the grand scheme of things, rear coils are fairly cheap & easy to swap out. As I build up my truck, I'll keep an eye on the 2866 springs and see if I need to step up into something more beefy.

Saw this posted elsewhere for the 2022 Tundra:

TOTAL CHAOS UCA w/ Kings = 12.5" travel
    Stock = 8" travel

TOTAL CHAOS Rear Link Kit w/ Kings = 10" travel
    Stock = 7.5" travel

I’d love the rear links but my wallet can’t handle it just yet :anonymous:
