    Whats up everyone.

Had a few ideas today after thinking about possible lighting changes to my 2014 DC SR5.

    1. I was thinking about tying the cargo lights in with the reverse lights (not sure why I would need that because of the switch).
    2. Changing the gauge needle color to red while leaving the numbers & lettering white
    3. Changing the other buttons and accent lighting throughout the truck. Pretty sure all of the lights are LEDs in something only 6 years old. Im always used to swapping out bulbs on old cars haha.

Haven't found anything in the lighting section so i figured id ask what you all think.

Was thinking about adding red footwell lights all around too for some red white and blue!

I’d be curious to hear about the gauge lighting upgrade.

There used to be a guy on another Tundra forum that offered this service, but I don't know if he's even there any longer. I've not seen anyone on this board with this information. From what I'm remembering and from having had my cluster apart, these LEDs are incredibly tiny. They're not all the same physical size or part number and getting them would be a task in and of itself as well. These are soldered to the circuit board and in my firsthand experience, swapping these out it akin to trying to solder eyelashes. I found it easier to swap out the entire cluster in the case of my 2nd Gen. YMMV.

I figured as much. IMHO it's not worth the risk of messing up the gauge cluster. One thing I will check is if the LEDs are colored. If not, then I may try to add some sort of film beneath the areas where I want color change and see how it works. Hope I can get to it soon. I'm in the middle of building a sound system.
