jimfish98 Did the side steps require different size bolts? Or did the ones already on the truck work for you?

also, did you torque to spec? If so, what torque?

Nice, bet it's the bees knees for plowing snow! I've worked the crap out of mine and it just keeps going with only one sensor issue.

If we ever get snow! With the tundra I don’t really need to plow for the light stuff!

Does anyone know if a bed cap from a 2.5 crew max will work on the 3rd gens?

Highly highly doubtful with the new rear spoiler design and the bed size.

The bolts in the truck are exactly what you need. I don't think they have a purpose in the build of holding anything together, they just come pre-drilled and the bold in there to keep debris out of the hole. As for torque to specs, there were no instructions or other information for install that came with it or that the dealer had. I just used my Ryobi impact drill with a 12mm socket on it and let it tighten it. It's pretty sturdy and no give even with my 270lbs of weight.

I figured it was a pipe dream. Looks like ARE will be getting another few grand from me next year.

Has anyone found any bed cover that doesn’t fit the 2022? Looking at getting another tonnopro tri fold. My last one held up very well and it’s pretty simple to take on and off.

Is there any chance you can post some pictures of the final install? Much appreciated.

What dealer did you order these from? I am tired of TX dealers who dont even say its available and Sparks who are charging outrageous shipping.

I felt the same way with my local dealer. Despite giving them the part #'s I wanted, they kept telling me they couldn't order it yet or the regional parts warehouse would cancel the order later that day saying the part wasn't available yet.

I ended up just ordering the parts via parts.toyota.com and selecting the closest dealership that participates. Which, in my case, happens to be 160 miles away. Oh well.

You can't search by year/make/model on the website yet for a 2022 Tundra, but you can enter the part numbers you want to order (if you know them). I ordered the Predator steps, all-weather floor mats (until WeatherTech or Husky releases theirs), and the black letter inserts for the tailgate. I got a call today that everything had arrived. I'm planning on driving there & back this Saturday to pick everything up.

Thats a great idea. I put PT92534223 in their for the crew cab running boards and PT9483415020 for the tailgate badge. %552.75 for both. I paid so lets hope I get them.

Also does anyone know if the Bedstep is available and if so what is the part number?

    Thanks!

I’m looking for the same part #. My local dealer said Toyota put a stop sale on them, possibly due to quality or fit issues. I asked for the part #, if he provides I’ll post it up.

Those who installed running boards, did they mount to the cab or frame? Was thinking the trd running boards could act as sliders but maybe not if mounted to the cab.

Been going round and round with all the dealerships here in San Antonio tx about these running boards. None of them have them in stock, saying they will only be available from a factory install. Also, one of the guys at the parts department said part number PT92534223 is for the double cab and won't fit my Crewmax which is what i need. What the heck! He says he has 3 PT92534223 in stock but they wont fit my 2022 SR5 Crewmax. I'm temped to buy these and try them on my Crewmax just to see if they will work.

Anyone order a dog saddle for the back seat yet? Curious if they are the same as 2021’s.

Jimfish98 confirmed PT92534223 was for the Crewmax. He has photos of his. Can someone confirm that that part number is for the Crewmax?

I never thought that a manufacturer would release a TRUCK and dont have the two most wanted options-running boards and a bed cover-available. This is ridiculous.

Totally agree. This is ridiculous we cannot get something so simple as running boards for a truck that has been on the market for a month already.

We will have our locking under seat storage soon. However, probably won't have our new truck until March or April. So if anyone in So Cal has one, let me know so we can set something up.

So someone on the Tundra FB group said that the BakFlip MX4 cover from the 2007-2021s won't fit because the brackets that hold the MX4 rail won't work on the "under lip of the bed cap" on the newer bed. He said everything else seemed to line up just fine, except for those brackets.

I just took delivery of my MX4 bed cover (I gambled...I know) but thinking about returning it and just waiting on the Toyota one to become available.
