3rd Gen Accessory Thread

I too posted here re black lugs and after some responses it appears you can get the black security lugs for trucks that come with black lugs (I can not remember which trim) but not 24 black OEM lugs yet.

On record of another I used these:

If it's like most stuff in the past, it is prewired for it. I'd expect a Toyota kit, but who knows in this world we find ourselves.

 

Added a little flair thanks to Tactillian and TVD Vinyl! I have the vinyl wrap to delete the chrome - just waiting on the weather to be better to do it.

 

Just installed these earlier this afternoon. I like the sleek look. Install was pretty easy did it myself just used a shoe box to lift the rails while attaching. Had nfab nerfs on my old tundra...i liked them but don't think they fit this truck.

 

Here are the specs for both double cab and crewmax with 5.5 bed. The wheelbase and overall length are the exact same.

 

got the weather tech one myself. All in all it’s nice plus they are the only game in town I know of.

pretty much as exact cut of the windshield but without them adding an inch or so to the top of it there is no way to wedge it in the windshield enough on the top to allow all the light from coming in.

That and the Tundra visors don’t tilt enough towards the windshield either to hold it tight against the windshield.

Again, I think it’s decent enough and it’s not like there are other options…

 

I believe the sliders mount to the cab, not to the cab and the bed so the cab length will be the deciding factor.

 

Looks fantastic! Would you mind sharing how much the overall lift (with install) ended up costing?

Trigger Six Shooter installed today. Pretty straightforward. Wanted everything to shut off when the ignition wasn’t on so tapped the main system to the fuse for heated seats under the hood, and tapped the lights for the controller (optional) to the outlet fuse on the interior.

Or, more likely, not available yet. It looks like they replace the entire tailgate and to do that they will need replacement tailgates…doubt there’s a lot of those around.

 

They don't replace the entire tailgate, just the access panel which is there so you or a mechanic can get to the latch inter workings if need be to fix. I recently had my tailgate apart to replace the tailgate garnish (handle) from chrome to black, there is a lot of room inside to put this storage.

 

Looks like each latch locks. I wonder how much weight the door can hold? I.e., could it be stood on without permanently bending? And, can it keep water out? Great idea for sure!

Did your dealer say that power running boards/bed step will eventually be available if they didnt come with your build? If so I will wait before I drop ~$1k on the TRD boards and manual bed step.

I ordered from RealTruck, do you remember how long the delivery took?

Also, is the install straight forward or do you have any suggestions/tips for the installation?

Only took a few days I recommend putting brackets on steps first then mount them to truck. The directions tell you bolt to truck first. I did mine by myself in less than an hour.

Does anyone know where to buy the Magnaflow exhaust in the video?

 

It's not available yet, according to the MF site.

I'm guessing the content creator's truck was selected for prototype development. That's the reason he had it at the actual MagnaFlow facility in Cali. I'm guessing it'll still be a few weeks before it hits production. There's a couple of MF employees that lurk on the forum. They might be able to chime in to confirm.

 

That was subtle enough that’d I’d go that route for a muffler choice. I bet it’s way overpriced though. I’d rather have a local shop weld up the muffler they used and find the tips from whomever.
