Installed a Rough Country 5.5 bed cover today!

 

Also installed the OEM Tundra tail gate letters / inserts thanks to my buddy's heated garage here in New Hampshire.

 

Nice…any issues with installation?

 

No, not stickers, more like emblems but yes with adhesive on one side.

 

The rough country bed cover was about a 1.5 hour install as it was the first one I have done. Cost shipped $699.00 from ESP and for the price I recommend it. ESP was great as well!

 

Any drilling needed to mount or for the drain tubes, if equipped?

 

No drilling, the holes for the drains are already in the bed, but no need the included tubes on install, went through a car wash and no water in the bed, For the money really nice!

 

The optional Tundra OEM inserts on the bed are almost a necessary option as makes the tail gate bed gate stand out.

 

Not sure what the bed inserts are. Could you share a link or describe it to me? I'm new to Toyota terminology or accessories.

 

Sorry those are the black tundra emblems installed the tail gate area.

 

Installed the TRD running boards today. Very easy installation.

 

With or without cargo management system? Also, what exactly does this refer to?

With cargo management, those are the rails that come with the truck, then rough country has rail extenders that clip onto those.

 

Who knows when the ICE will ultimately go away, but there's perhaps a better chance than not that one day, we'll all have one of these made by someone:

i would wait for the husky ones. they are more pliable than the weathertechs. my WT in my 4runner still to this day havent flattened out completely after 7yrs. the huskys in the tundra all sit flush and dont stick up in places like my WT.

 

i used the vinyls from TVD on our 2016 tacoma and it was flawless after 2 ND winters (even hit -20F to -28F a few times). have it on our 2018 tundra inside and outside and havent had them peel or anything once even during this past cold snap of -25F about 2 weeks ago.

the interior ones are holding up great, just follow instructions properly and you wont have any issues. i screwed up my first batch and re-ordered a 2nd since i didnt follow the instructions correctly.

 

Are there any aftermarket companies making running boards that are available yet for the 22’s ?

 

Do you have a pic of the side view (right or left)?

 

Is this for a Crewmax if so what is the part number appreciate your help

 

Call it what you want, but there is a distinct difference between what a “sticker’ is and what these emblems are. I think the purpose of this group is to share and help each other with real world experience and differentiate when possible. Hence the clear delineation between the two.

Dropped to $300. They are just gathering dust in my garage. I'm north of Dallas.

 

I also contacted them. Similar reply. I have had this cover on my F-150 for 6yrs [it transferred from my 16' XLT to my 18' LARIAT no problems], and have loved it. Added some cross bars to carry a cargo box as well. Only issue was I could not easily through an end gate cover on the end for those days I wanted to quickly head to the hills for some mountain biking. So, with that, I am looking at the Renegade cover [with track system] or the Retrax [with track system] for my 2022 LTD OR. Then I should have the luxury of doing that for my bikes.

 

Did you post any pics of these installed [sorry if you have already]? Also, do these fit your DC or Crew?

Has anybody bought these tailgate inserts? I like the flag designs but wonder about how well they fit. Hmm.

I bought the matte black ones, they fit like a glove and look fantastic. Kinda regret not getting the rustic flag but will in the future.
