I’m getting the 2in level kit done (front only) next week by Tim Duncan’s off-road shop “Blackjack” here in San Antonio. They say they have done a bunch of them for the dealerships daily so will post pictures once done.

Do you think a alignment is necessary after just a leveling kit install?

I'm fairly impressed with the OEM ones. I usually run WeatherTech and have always been impressed with them. Though my current ones, after 9 years of use, have started to wear through a little.

It's wet & muddy here right now and I couldn't wait. So I bought the OEM ones for the first time ever. Are they as "good" as the WeatherTech mats? No because they don't have the high lip, but other than that...I like them. My 2 cents.

Yes. Especially, if you follow the RC install instructions and loosen the camber bolt on the lower control arm. Even if you mark everything with witness marks and line everything back up during reassembly...it'll still be out of alignment ever so slightly.

Some folks can probably get by without doing one, but I drive ~550 miles a week. Even a minor degree of misalignment will eat up my tires and show up pretty fast since I drive so much.

I just got the OEM letter inserts in the mail on Tuesday. They're not just cut vinyl letters. The OEM ones are legit hard rubber /resin / pvc (not exactly sure of the material), raised letters. I was kinda shocked. I expected just thin vinyl letters like the aftermarket ones. I haven't put them on yet. I'll probably do that this weekend when I can clean the tailgate properly to ensure adhesion.

all the trials are for 1 year as listed on my Toyota app (listed individually as "Remote Connect, Safety Connect, Drive Connect, and Wifi Connect"). However according to this email response I received from Corey Proffitt, Senior Manager of Communications of Toyota Connected North America, "Service Connects" is active for a period of 3 years. (I had asked him a question about remote start from the key fob. Here is the email response:upload_2022-1-21_7-32-39.jpg

I don’t understand the comments about poor interior lighting. There is enough light to read a newspaper. How much do you need? I guess you need more lighting for shooting TikTok vids or something. And you get trans temp monitoring in digital cluster if that’s important to you. I’m not sure what makes a terrible bumper?? To me these little thing don’t matter. But not everyone wants more HP, more torque, better suspension and better gas mileage.

The interior lighting is absolutely terrible. There isn't even a light inside of the glovebox. I am waiting for someone to do a video on how to updgrade the interior lights. And I have added a rechargable LED motion light inside of the glovebox.

So here is the package the letters came in and the letters themselves. They are indeed a flexible resin type material. Almost to the point where they are a little floppy. They seem to be decent quality but are expensive vs what I am sure will eventually end up on Amazon.

Eventually MESO probably will come up with some badass LED plug in play units to replace 3rd gen weak interior lights
I had them on my Tacoma, they are bright AF

Thanks, that comment was productive. I am not concerned about any tick tick videos, but being able to see when getting into the truck would be nice. current trucks interior lights and exterior lights turn on when locks are opened. Videos i have seen show a dark exterior and interior when unlocking and entering. It would be nice to have a bumer to step on when the tailgate is open and not have to purchase a step. And as I said I have one on order, so obviously it was not a big issue for me, only pointing out areas it could be better considering it is 2022.

Installed some predator steps on my double cab today ez pz.

ordered them through sparks. They showed up in less than a week on the west coast and were $50 cheaper than the dealer.

Going to sound crazy but I am selling my brand new Black Running Boards https://www.sparksparts.com/p-running-boards-flat-oval-black-pt92534222

    And my vinyl letters https://www.sparksparts.com/oem-par...k-pt9483422002?c=bD0xMyZuPUNhdGVnb3J5IFBhZ2U=

I just traded my SR5 for a Limited. I wanted the additional features that the Limited offered and it came with running boards and I ordered the chrome vinyl letters.

The running boards I bought from Sparks and are still brand new in the box. The vinyl letters are new as well.

I am not interested in shipping these so if you are interested I am in the Dallas area. I will sell them both for $400. Send me an IM if interested. Thanks.

so the bumper itself is the attachment point if needing a tow? If so, this fixes the no front tow hooks problem

Don't know about hooks, they just posted this a couple hours ago. C4 is a solid fabricator as far as I have read, I would hope this bumper incorporates solid hooks. They look like an industry standard tow hook in this pic.

Still curious how this is going to impact the TSS front radar sensor. I see they have a cut out for it allowing it to be relocated, but the cut out looks like it makes the sensor face downward at a 45 degree angle. I wonder if it'll either 1) still work or 2) require some type of recalibration?

I'll have to follow C4 to see what they say about it.

C4 makes solid stuff, but It'll be a long time though before I'm able to drop $2k for a winch bumper though. I'm also curious to see how long it'll take ARB to come out with theirs.

Yea the safety gadgets on newer vehicles are not armor friendly. Glad my 4Runners are older. 2012 vsc didn't like me after a lift and bumper until I figured out the zero point calibration. I wonder if the C4 guys have a bracket work around to keep the sensor in the same orientation. Still may not be happy in heavy mud and snow.

Different people have different expectations. I haven’t opened a glove box in years and have no idea if any have lights. I’m sure you can find some additional lights. Sorry to upset you

This looks amazing, approach angle is excellent. Resolved all my concerns about the massive OEM front bumper and lack of recovery points.
