I ordered mine on May 10th. Dealer says ETA is Sept 20th, so I hope to see it next week

Not yet I have a new travel trailer chomping at the bit to go somewhere and no TV to pull it. Scheduled to leave here Oct 2nd and I need to put 500 miles on it before I tow.
I noticed when plugging my new VIN into the link above it does not show a selling dealer. If you get the Toyota app and enter either your pre or post VIN and someone else does the same you'll get a notification that someone else is claiming your VIN. I did it first and my wife tried and was able to enter the same VIN. I got an email stating that someone else took the VIN. So, maybe a good indicator of being hijacked.

 

I may be wrong but I don’t think a selling dealer shows up till it’s sold. Or at least in their possession?

I have a mgm cm on order dealer just updated my date to 10/9 original date 9/23 ,
Still shows letter in last seven of vin , I’ve followed couple other vins with ending letter and
Seen them change over to full vin ,check there status info comes up only differences I see,
Are the type of tires that comes on the truck , I thought the vin would no longer come up on site ,after assembly
Anyone see same as me

 

I know my pre production VIN didn't work on the app on my phone after it was built.

 

More shipping info. Dealer is in Eastern Ohio. This shows built one day early.

 

Mike59, heard any more on your truck? Two weeks from today I hope to be going through KY on the way to Arkansas. If my Tundra comes in.

 

Man I wish we had access to those dealer sites for tracking!

 

The person I first spoke with at dealer when I called has been the person I'm getting the information from. She takes a photo of a computer screen and sends it to me via text. If you contact your dealer about this please don't mention I'm getting it. I don't want to risk getting her in trouble. I don't know if she has access to this or has to go to the manager. I will say my salesman has been no help, not returning emails, calls or texts but this gal is special. Not sure of her title but it may be Customer Service Manager or Specialist. Does your vehicle show up on the dealers website? Mine does and it shows the VIN and that it's in transit.

 

Same here , shows vin with letter in last seven , updated by salesman on eta , time will tell if it makes it, no screen on info like your receiving

 

Will def not mention it! My sales guy has been responsive but not with anything more than “looks like end of the month”.

Truck is still on website but changed to “in transit” a few days ago.

I heard from the dealer yesterday as a matter of fact. He said the estimated delivery date had moved up to 9/29! I sure hope so. Please holler at me if you get down this way. Coming through Cincinnati you'll probably head down 71 to Louisville and pass me by. I'm off 64 near Lexington.

Looks like my preproduction VIN is still active on the spec website but my vehicle got assigned a new VIN on the dealer website with no letters at the end!

 

I'll consider that as good news. If so inclined download the Toyota app and enter the new VIN. If someone (like me) decides to claim that VIN you're going to get notification.

Update on mine. Delivery scheduled for 22nd-24th. Just sold the Element today to the new 124 is the mode of transportation to go get the Tundra. Told the dealer we'd have to get it on a nice day saying the Fiat might not make the 150 mile round trip in the rain without rusting out.

 

When you say “124”, are you referring to a Mercedes?

 

Vin changed for ours today so 4 days from when we were last told they'd start the build.
We went from Sept 17 to Sept 13 back to Sept 17 until this AM

 

Just got word this morning my truck has arrived at the dealership. I'm scheduled to pick it up Friday the 24th. Four weeks and one day after being built.
