Might be that guy who installs a 3/1 lift, likely new Toytec/Eibach non adjustable coils with 1in shackles in the rear... But no tire upgrade for a while.

How bad does it look? Anyone have some pics of their lifted Tundras with stock tires? I'll probably be another 6 months to a year before I do the tires.

I might have to do the same thing. i am thinking of doing a 3 inch leveling kit and need to run stock rims and tires until i can save up for better looking bigger ones.

We could always wait.. but I just dont think I can. Between a few family members wanting to get me birthday and Christmas gifts, I can piece together a complete suspension setup. Only a psycho could then just leave these parts in the closet for another 6 months while saving for tires... Right?

I hope to be doing the same thing soon. Been waiting on some things to pull the trigger on the ToyTec Boss set up. But I'll have to roll my TSS wheels and tires for a while still. Just hate how low the front end looks right now.

You know one good thing about the Boss setup, you can adjust the front from 1-3". So if 3 didn't look right, you can always put it on 1 or so and at least take advantage of the better ride until you got tires under it to jack up to 3.

Sorry. Bilstein 5100 series front adjustable shocks. They can add 3 levels of height adjustment to your front end. They do the job and don't break the bank. a win-win!

that acts as the leveling kit, it replaces the factory coil over and levels truck by desired height. you can "search" this as many others have done this as well. There are also many other options just some come at a greater cost. Good Luck and keep us posted on what you decide to do

That is all you need parts wise. The toughest part of the 5100s is the install. They require you to deconstruct the front suspension and use a spring compressor to get it back together with the 5100 installed. Labor on the 5100 install seems to come in around 500 and you will need an alignment.

On the flip side, some of the other complete coilover options are more expensive, BUT, can be installed in a few hours by yourself with no special tools or risk of a spring punching through your chest.

i will pay the people to do that for me. 500 is not bad at all. and the part is pretty cheap...

wow i just asked one of the mechanics at my dealership if he could help me on the side. are spacers bad? a shop mentioned that to me but i have not heard the best things about spacers. he said front 3 inch spacer and back 1 inch block level. i have a lot to think about

A little of this and a little of that.

I have a 3.5” lift up front and 1” shackle in the rear. Here’s some pics for you...

    7DD5BE33-0992-46B5-B6A0-D2F7E37B7D9A.jpg

When I do get new wheels and tires I’m probably going with 20” wheels and 33” tires. I don’t like the looks of 35’s on a 3/1 lift. Too much rubber IMO.

spacers are not recommended, but i have seen people do them. truck has to stay on pavement. can cause problems when off road. i would do the 5100s and call it good. just my .02

A little of this and a little of that.

I off road with spacers just fine. If I break a shock that’ll be a great excuse to get the Boss or Radflo’s from Toytec.

Still factory in the rear? Considering 5100s all around and maybe a 1" in the back . . . getting older, lol. Would like to get the level look, but want to keep that nice ride.

How is the ride . . . before and after? Thanks.

    Everything. Literally.
3” boss with 2” rear blocks on 32s.
Not stock tires, but they’re what came on my TSS.
Not the biggest fan of how it looks, but it is what it is until I get all the $$ together for 35s.

    working on it.... lol
ok ok ok ok.... Tuesday, I am having the Bilstein 5100's put on front and rear..... keeping my stock 18" wheels for now. I can do a 3/1 setup ....with a block on the rear, but I think I am going with the 1"shackle eventually.
My question is this.... I think the biggest tire I can put under it will be a 285/65/18 with out spacers or trimming...... anybody got anything different or any pictures of your set up? I have a '94 Land Cruiser with a 3" OME suspension on 315's to play in the woods with. I just want my truck to look a little more aggressive blah blah blah..... not ready to beat the shit out of a $42,000 truck quite yet...lol thanks for your input / suggestions

You might be able to squeeze in 285/70/18s
I’m runing 285/65/20s and guy at the tire place said that after I put my 3” kit on, the biggest I’d be able to go is 285/70/20s without trimming, heat molding or spacers.
