    Looks like the Creality Ender 3.

    Very inexpensive very capable printer (i have one) with a huge online support via users. If you are looking for a pnp printer that will work perfect from the get go, might not be the best one. If you like tinkering/modifying/upgrading it, then its great!

    I live in Oregon where 90 degrees is considered a heat wave :D. I think PETG would be a good alternative too because it doesn’t have the shrink/warp issue that ABS has. I’ve not tried ASA yet

    I’ve bought some other goodies from @Rocfrog a month or so ago. I painted my switch plate. Priming is the way to go, either plastic primer or epoxy will work. I did both on separate pieces of plastic. Epoxy worked the best.

    From what I found you can paint PETG you just gotta do all the steps. Can’t just grab a can and spray.

    Ok 1st set of rings done matte black and they look great. Gonna install tomorrow for approval. Thinking the best approach for members is that they paint them. I might be able to do the painting but with custom requests and the time it takes it won’t be cost effective. I’m gonna run these over the weekend and if all goes well they will be on my site for purchase next week. I will do a limited drop of them so to the crew that hit me up I will send you a message of when this will happen. I will also give this forum a discount code to use so that it will save everyone some flow. I will send with them instructions on how to paint it’s damn easy just takes a trip to Walmart and some sandpaper if your to lazy to do that shit I’ll figure it out and it will cost.     After sand primer sand paint matte clear these look great. Takes very little time with hours in between coats to get it done.     They turned out real nice. They are not flawless but you really can’t tell. If you take a little time with the sanding and primer then they should turn out. They are gonna spend a few days in the hot truck and see if I have any issues. If I go ahead a make them available I will only print in black so people can paint.

    Can’t speak for that printer but I found I started on the low end and worked my way up to the 1k printers that just do a great job. It’s an addictive hobby so where ever you start plan on getting hooked. I think the real art is the design of things like this. It’s one thing to duplicate products that exists but to see new ideas and concepts come forward is really awesome.

    I see. My only concern is that I have no idea how to design things. Never have a I used a 3d print software either. I’m tempted but have no Idea what I would be doing lol
