    Ok now I see.

Our original set of 37s were 13.5” wide on 18x9 +25 offset wheels.

When it came time to replace those tires, I had the opportunity to move to beadlocks, but they were on 17x8.5 0 offset rims.

So the fiberglass and adjustable Icon UCA and various other touch ups to the original setup was just to accommodate our move to beadlcoks. Because Alex told us not to.

Can’t beat that for 120 a pop…looks like they only do the black in +15, would prefer +35 but hot damn can’t beat that price! About to place my order. How’s the fit and finish and did you order from Tire Rack? Also what size tire is that you’re running?

    thanks!

Fit and finish seem to be of great quality! Paint seems very durable. I have the +15mm with 285/70/17 cooper at3 and ordered from tire rack. Think I paid 1,400 with pickup discount. Total weight is just a hair over 70lbs for wheels and tires. Go for it!!

That being said, if you were close to Reno I’d sell you my set. Officially trading my tundra back in. Wasn’t what I was looking for as a truck

Thanks man. I’ll be pairing them with either 35x12.50x17 or 315/70s. Little worried about too much “poke” i don’t wanna run flares. And i’m in GA or i’d get them from you lol

You’re going to have quite a bit of pike running that large of tires but it might be nice to avoid too much rub. Mine stick out about 1” or so

Of course! Glad it helps! i am too honestly. Spent a ton of time on tacomaworld and had intentions of owning the tundra for a long time. Just my commute is increasing and the mileage is just hard to justify keeping the truck given the fact I’m getting 14 or less mpg. It’s the cold mornings and defrosting time. That and the fact I can’t fit it in the garage

Wasn’t super impressed with the power of the V8 if you always have to watch the gas to try to save fuel. Maybe I’m just not meant to be a tundra owner. Was thinking too hard on how to save fuel. Probably should have just not worried about it lol

it’s definitely a large truck, i’d be bummed if I couldnt park in my garage also. Mpg also sucks, can’t sugar coat that. I get about 11 city and 13 highway on 33s, 2.5” lift, steel bumper/winch and armor. 15+ mpg would be great and could possibly be obtained with a re-gear but that’s just not $ I want to spend right now. I like the Tacomas a lot…but I ultimately went with the Tundra for the cab space. I do wish we got the factory rear locker like the Tacos get. Also, from what I read, once you start weighing that Tacoma down, you’re pretty much on par with Tundra mpg lol. With a mere 21 gallon tank…

    To each his own!

For sure! Lifted tacos are getting 14 or so mpg anyway. I loved my Tacoma and If I didn’t have two kids with car seats, would have kept it forever

Yeah I have. The 4runner only has 32” of rear legroom so not particularly great for car seats

I want to go with 37's. I'm running stage 9 Icon (3") with tubular UCA's. I know I'll have to do a BMC and was going to order the bumper shims from Coachbuilder (stock bumper for now, wish I could afford to upgrade att). I want the 17" Icon Rebounds (+25 offset). Icon said that these wheels were "made" for the Tundra. Thoughts?

Also, can I add Bushwacker fender flares without issue? Thanks gents.

Yeah you can run 37s with the icon wheels and that UCA. For even better clearance and alignment, you can switch to the icon billet upper.

The Bushwacker flares aren’t needed at that offset and tire size, and I’ve seen them not look awesome. We went with fiberglass up front instead but had to because we went with 0 offset beadlocks.

UCA clearance won't be issue, but depending on your intensions of your build. going with glass might be advisable.

Here's my setup so far. (Rear resi's have been leveled as opposed to angled now). Going with black 17" Icon Rebounds on 37's and CBI front bumper. Gotta save up some $$$.

Are the BMC plates that SDHQ and others sell aggressive enough for 37's or will more material have to be removed? I have an ICON 3" lift with a Delta joint in the UCA and I don't know if the caster can be adjusted (says it's auto-adjusting, whatever that means). I'm also going to be running 17" ICON Rebounds which have a +25 offset which I've been told helps a lot. Thanks for any info.

Yes, the SDHQ plates is one of the more aggressive ones you can buy pre-made. All the other ones on the market aren't as aggressive in my opinion unless you custom make it. You shouldn't have any problems.

    Not sure at this point.
    70BC36E3-556E-4334-A3A3-CD1130BC7A96.jpg

    Here's the plan:

Bilstein 5100s front @ 2.3" (not sure if this will make it nose high...) @eccracer104 Mike's got his at 1.9" and it looks mean.
-- maybe TC shackles for 3/4" rear lift if I do 2.3 up front?
    Bilstein 5100s rear @ 0
    SPC UCA
Spidertrax 1.25" spacers (since I'm going to be using my stock wheels for now...) so offset will be +28
    Toyo Open Country 37x12.5r18

It's not 0 offset, but I do eventually plan to go down to 17s and 0 offset.

Going to be doing the pwm and bmc with Relentless Fab plates...

We'll see how this goes and keep the progress updates on this thread and the official dirty-sevens thread. :bananadance:
