    Hi all,

Novice and new tundra owner. having huge indecisiveness on which route to go for lift and wheels.

I have a 2016, 5.7L 4x4 SR5 tundra crew max. Putting on BF All Terrains and lifting it, (suspension) to accommodate the tires. I want a combo of best performance while still looking clean. Keeping the stock rims. Just need a truck that performs better off road, nothing crazy while still doing great for street. Stuck between 33" or 35" BF AT's and the right size lift either 3/1 or 4/2. any pics of either combo or suggestions would be great. I'm looking for clean well proportioned truck. I dont want the wheels to rub and look like they are taking up the whole wheel well...

Any help would be greatly appreciated by myself and shop owner.. ;)

    thanks,

Wheel offset will govern rubbing as well.

If you make a post like this you gotta post a pic....just say'n

While I wait so I can afford it, I'm still pondering the same thing, so I'm following, ha. I think I'm sold on the 295/70R18 though, which is near a 34.5.

I run 33x12.5/20 on my 3/1.5 level. my wheels have a positive 12 offset and are flush with the outer edge of my pocked fenders. I had to cut and heat mold my inner fender plastic to make 33s not rub in reverse. After a insane amount of research i found out on a level lift you need a BMC or body mount chop to fit 35s with no rub. This is the exact info i wish some one would have given me. With all that said 35s would look killer.

If you go 12.5" wide on stock wheels, you'll likely hit your UCAs.

Thats the key to what ever you do on lift, wheels, and tires. You have to get the offset correct and know exactly what your getting yourself into. I went through wheel spacer and chopping the body mounts issues on my last Taco because I got bad advice after spending serious bucks. Well worth going to a very high end knowledgable 4x4 shop and or other good sources for the real deal and real info on what you want to do.

Every tire, wheel, and lift combo is going to be different. Pick what you want and get as much info as possible before pulling the trigger. I lucked out that my Tundra came with these wheels and lift and who ever had ordered these got the off set and lift combo dead on the money. No spacers, no rubbing, and no hacking up the body mounts and I could still go up to 37's with no issues.

Its what I wanted, tall skinny big tires and the truck up off of the ground. My set up is for a lot of highway road trip driving plus I can go off road when I get there. (and I think that its looks cool ;) )

I've done a lot of research since I'm doing -18 -24 offset and when I see 0 offset it sticks out a little past reg fenders with No fenders flares. but I dont know maybe. I know wheels have to be out another 2 inches to be equal with fender flares and if that's the case. I better do some more research

Every time i think I know what I want, it seems like it changes based on what someone else shows. I first thought +18, but then changed to +1. I have the OEM pocketed flares, and I want the tires to stick out just past it.

I'll show you a picture of a -19 offset with 12.5 wheels with no flares.
If that had flares in it, the tires wouldn't be past the flares at all. Maybe even with it, definitely not positive 12 offset would stick out or even wIth flares

Well the wheels I want only come in a 20, 1, -12. So I may just have to get the -12 and live with it. Will for sure look a lot better than it does now.

    Sorry to :threadjacked:

No way! These tires would be about an inch past the flares... maybe more.
