Cool thanks, I will remember that if there is ever a problem.

Only thing I can not pick on is headlight alignment. Mine are not alligned at all on low beams. The right headlight is either way too low, or the left is way too high.

I have been meaning to have dealer adjust, just can't find time. I looked and on these newer trucks I do not see an adjustment..... Looks pretty hard to get to and manual says take it to dealer. Something tells me it is not as easy as it use to be.

This is exactly why I got the extended warranty on my GMC that I didn’t bother getting for my old Tundra (and didn’t need for 100k miles).

I didn’t get an extended warranty, but if it happened after my warranty I would’ve just taken the tailgate off and lived without it.

I will say that I’m now 3/3 in 10 months taking my truck in to have something resolved between the Ram, ford, and now Chevy.

The manual said the same thing if the tailgate didn’t open like mine. “Take to dealer or call roadside to have them open the tailgate manually.” It didn’t give any directions, but I figured out to just take the inner skin piece off and do it by hand if need be.

I like to say toyota has a nice tight precision feel to it. Compared to Hd trucks.

2500 Rams as yall probably know are over MSRP and scarce. Yall think if the chip shortage gets resolved by 1st Q FY 22 like I'm reading, the market will be flooded with 2021 models that were sidelined waiting for the chip as they try to sell newly built 2022s?

    Bringing back down prices?

You’d be surprised. My F-250 rides better than my 2021 Tundra. It’s a stiff ride, but handles way better, no body roll, no bed bounce, corners very good.

All stock except for Falken 275/70R18s. Don’t get me wrong, my Tundra is a helluva truck, just needed the payload and towing of the F-250 and a comparable if not better ride. Tundras are the best 1/2 ton without question, they just lack the payload capacity.

The rear sway bar add is a gamechanger. Tundra handles 1000% better and corners like it's on rails compared to without it.

Same here I just drove my RAM 2500 up and down Utah, Arizona, and Southern Colorado and the ride is so much smoother and it handles great no bed bounce either which would drive me nuts in the Tundra.

I sold my Dirtymax years ago ('05 CC SLT) and it was a much more comfortable ride than my Tundra. Empty or fully loaded, I never found a more comfortable hauler. Biggest vehicle sales regret I have is getting rid of that truck when I "thought" I was done needing a 1/2 ton or larger vehicle. I have no serious complaints with the Tundra, but it has a lot prove to me over the next 130K miles if I were to pit it against my dirtymax. Initial purchase price aside (by today standards it isn't bad, but the $38.9 after manufacturers incentives applied)I paid back in late 2004 was a a lot :), the GMC was more reliable and had less issues in 150K miles than the combined 110K of my Taco and FJ. Outside of routine wear and tear/maintenance, I only had a coolant level sensor and a steering bushing to go bad during the 9 years I owned it.

Yeah, lots of pre-DEF diesels were tanks. Now, diesels are wheezing and choking on the ball gag of the EPA, and it just keeps getting cinched tighter.

Agreed!!! Hence my kicking myself (and jokingly cursing my wife for making me get back into the trailer hauling game...but at least she kept her trailer needs small...for now) for selling the GMC.

2021 F-250 XLT with the 6.2 engine. I was aiming for the 7.3, but I’m a strange one in that I don’t like 10-speed transmissions.

I am looking at a 2020 F250 6.2 with 11K miles on it. Really good looking well kept truck. Just afraid of the upkeep and reliability. Toyota has spoiled me for a long time.

That is certainly a trade off. Only time will tell with my F-250, that’s what warranties are for. I’ve debated doing a comparison, but I finally got my dream configuration: full crew cab and 6.7’ bed! I loved my DC with the 6.5’ bed, but always wanted the full crew cab too.

After reading what Ford knowingly did and tried to cover up with their Super Duty trucks back in the 2000's, in addition to seeing other friends with Fords, I'll never trust or drive the brand. It's either Chevy or Dodge in this category for me.

    A bunch
All of you with recent F250's with the 6.2, be aware of possible fuel pump issues. Old workplace I was at had a bunch that when the truck was warm it would take 5-15 seconds of cranking for it to finally start - mechanics told us it was a fuel pump issue. I didn't stick around to see if that fixed it. And trucks were anywhere from 25k kms to 75k kms.

Just got out of my second F250 diesel in a row. Aside from a DEF sensor issue with my 2012 (back in 2012), I never had a single problem with either one of them. Both with the 6.7 Lariat models.

Just didn't need the diesel, and was able to sell it for just below what I paid. Would not hesitate to go back if I had to. Was very happy with the vehicle.

I would just pick the one that you like the best and trade it before the powertrain warranty is up. A diesel is pretty much a 5K repair every time it graces the shop floor and thats just the start.

Just run a good fuel additive and be strict on fuel filter changes and new diesel's will last. Have a couple friends with 3-500k miles on 4th gen cummins with minimal issues.

My cummins will "lose some weight" if I ever start having problems with the DPF, DEF or EGR system. Like stated above sadly those are like 5k repairs to replace those systems :(

Finally hit 10K on the 1 ton. Averaging ~830miles a week and 15.3mpg. I am honestly impressed with the gas mileage. That's 75% daily driving and 25% Towing/hauling. And the ride for a stiff heavy truck is pretty good.

Just excited to hit the small milestone

You are doing a little better than me. I have 22k on my 2020 Chevy 2500 HD 6.6 gas. I am averaging 14.6 over the life of the truck. I do tow a little more than the Tundra, but not much more. Driving characteristics are the same. I went back and looked at Fuelly and I averaged 15.3 MPG over the life of the Tundra.

We went on vacation last month. My truck is 7,400 lbs. with me in it. Add in the wife, 3 kids, bed full of coolers, luggage, you name it. Truck was easily 8,000 lbs. we got 17.1 MPG on the way down to Florida going about 75-85 for 680 miles and a handful of stops.

We got 16.4 on the way back from Clearwater Beach to Knoxville but that was several wrecks and Atlanta traffic.

Highway my 6.6 gasser can get 16-17, but the overall mpg for 3,200 miles is 13.3 which includes towing the RV. Without towing this truck is basically the same mpg as my tundra was, but with a longer bed and triple the payload
