2016 sr5. I’m going with 3” front with 1.5” toytec shackles rear. I’ve got 18x9 +12 wheels coming. I’m still debating about tires but aiming for 295/70/18 now. My concern is UCA’s. Initial thought was SPC. But now leaning towards Camburg’s Moog ball joints UCA. I’m not always Offroad. When I do work, I’ll step off but it’s nothing extreme. No flexing or extra travel of suspension. I just want something that’s going to last a bit and able to endure a bit of off-road terrain while I work. Will this work or should I shell out for upper tier UCA?

I really like my SPC’s. Tons of adjustability plus the greaseable ball joint is better for my winter climate. The ball joint is the reason I chose SPC. Just for serviceability and the dust boot to keep salt and winter out. I off-road often and have even jumped the truck (like 4”) and didn’t lose alignment. Either way I’d say good call on the ball joint

Nice. I’ve been back and forth with my local off-road shop and they’re suggesting Camburgs bcuz spc’s are known to squeak and go off alignment. This is why I’m asking the public here for better understanding and knowledge so i won’t make a mistake. Thanks

Yep...The SPCs have a lot of adjustability over the competition. No uniballs though. The ball joints on the new SPCs are greaseable.

I haven't heard of that issue with anyone using SPCs here. I'm getting the SPCs myself at some point soon.

Surprised that Light Racing doesn't offer a SPC uniball version too. Doesn't matter though. I like the SPCs and priced OK too.

I have several friends that run spc uca on Tacoma without issue or complaint. I have three friends that have had their spcs literally detonate leaving the vehicle stranded in the application of 4runners. I chose total chaos uniballs and will eventually replace the uniball with an icon delta joint.

I've installed and serviced several different UCAs. The SPCs can/will hold up to your needs. The are more cost effective, easier to maintain, allow for more adjustments if needed. And the ball joint being a Moog part is easy to find everywhere.

    My .02 cents, go SPC.

I’d think unless you’re off-roading regularly, SPC’s will do what ya want. Also, what wheels are ya going with @Xyleff ?

Even with off roading often, these are a good option.

True, you just have better wheel travel numbers with uniballs. Do you have SPC’s as well?

I don't yet. I just got my truck but I'd have a lifted 4runner before my tundra.

Guess I’ll be the odd ball...my installers said I didn’t need anything other than stock give just a 3” lift in the front....sent my SPC’s back and no issues with alignment. No clue on long term but have a solid relationship with my techs and trust them. Just wanted to throw this out there.
