It sure seems like it's a good fit behind the seat. If you get one, let me know what you think!

Wow, one click is good! Looks like it fits well behind the seat. Did you secure it or does the top of the back seat keep it in place?

Nice. How deep are those subs (mounting depth)?

    Thanks Gino
I think I'm going to have to stick to the box on page 1(post #6), with some spacers.

So - I have a 2 gen with the JBL system. I'd like to run aftermarket subs but that factory sub is there. Any suggestions?

I have this box now no complaints! :D
Mounting depth gives more flexibility on subwoofer choices!

I dont have any experience with jbl in a Tundra but I would think yank the box and grab another! If its not in the budget replace just the sub with an aftermarket amplifier :notsure:
You can also check out TacoTunes I know Ive seen options for jbl equipped tundras there:thumbsup:

I've been thinking that... even asked Crutchfield for the sub which they gave me. Thought there may be some differing options as I'm an oldschool Audio head

Heyyyyy Now!! I can appreciate that! :D Whats the jbl equipped sub look like? Im guessing it takes up the real estate of the left or right rear of the truck!

I havent completely kept up with todays technology myself!!

The sub is on the drivers (left) side and molded in. I'm not a fan of cutting so I'm hesitant on making a change adding my P250.2 RF etc. I'm not out booming anymore I just need a little more of a tight low end for my jazz and 80s -90s music. I'll post pics in the morning

Today's technology is a bit crazy. Give me 5v outs a 1ohm amp & a DVC in a sealed box and I'm good.

That's really a pretty good deal for that box. The sub I have in my current box is pretty decent, but they sell an updated model of it now. So I think I'm going to sell it with my box when I get the new one. I want both subs to be the exact same.

This guy, tech12 built my box. I want to say he used 5/8 mdf, but he glassed the inside.

That sounds like what I have. I haven't yet looked into what replacing the whole back wall with a non JBL truck one would entail.

Also, the only real instructions I could find for removing it were on another forum, which is extremely ad whored and won't let you view pics without joining........which I won't do.
