Let's say he drove mostly on the highway and got an overall average of 16mpg. If gas over that time frame averaged out to, say, 2.40/gal, then he spent $0.15/mile, or a total of $73,662.45 for his 491,083 miles. :eek2::eek2::eek2:

In order to put 500k miles on your Tundra, it'll cost you another Tundra and a half.

Averaged just about 50,000 miles a year. Love seeing these too. Guy should keep it to 1,000,000 and get a new Tundra from Toyota!

Newer Tundras run on gas too. And at about the same level of efficiency. At least my way, he might get a new Tundra from Toyota! Unless he’s going Prius for the new work vehicle... then you have a point. :thumbs up:

so by these calculations in order to put 500k on a new tundra it'll cost you 2 and a half tundras

Not bad, I paid a few thousand less for mine and it had half the miles.
Check the frame for rust, the Nashville area uses a lot of road salt.

or ONE new TRD PRO and a semi used Prius LOL.. Get the best of both worlds.

Actually, Hyundai gave this lady a new vehicle too for reaching 1 million miles. https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a25645830/hyundai-elantra-million-miles/

Honda also did the same https://www.cars.com/articles/2011/...illion-miles-gets-new-accord-for-persistence/

What year did they stop offering the 4.7L for the 2nd gens? It would be cool to know which engine this one is. The first 2 million mile ones were the 4.7L.

2009 was the last year of the 4.7l

Switched to the 4.6 after that.

Wonder if this guy had the 4.0, 4.6 or 5.7

Badge on the truck looks to be the 5.7 badge but it almost looks like it says V6 when you zoom in. Think it’s just the phot quality as I don’t recall Toyota putting any v6 badges like they did the v8. Or did they?

@georgiey22, that's the 5.7 engine. The 5.7 2nd gens had red accents in the badging. It's good to here it's the 5.7 , being your 2 million mile Tundras were the 4.7 V8.

@Rex Kramer, the 4.7 V8 has been discontinued since 2010 , I think:rasta: The 4.6 took over, which that engine has been discontinued also.
