Pelfreybilt is planning on test fitting one of their 3rd gen bumpers onto a 2nd gen, but will leave the under-grill valence. Still hoping Relentless comes up with something for 2nd gens as well.

Any chance to add a quick flag about which ones are lighter or as heavy as OEM?

I’d be surprised if any of them are lighter or the same weight as OEM.

With the payload being what it is, it would be nice to find or design one...

Sorry late on reply, this is Paramount HD , Not heavier than stock, about the same. Nice thing about it was came with all the lights ,except the bar, and came with clevis rings also. The switch is pretty light duty , looking at changing that out later.

Yeah, but I think it’d make you go to materials that raise cost significantly over steel, like titanium. Although Pelfrey’s making a aluminum/steel hybrid one that’s only 100 lbs.

Paramount , it's the PROZ PREMIUM ROCK CRAWLER HD, From Auto Anything, went on really easy ,just had to elongate the bolt holes alittle to bring it up tight to body. Waiting to install winch, and TotTech Boss coil overs, rear shackles, and also got SPC Upper control arms.

I'll take a better pic in the daytime. I went the cheap way cause idk how long I'm gonna keep this truck. I went to ebay and picked up a DV8 idk model #. It came in several pieces and no instructions but the listing did say that. Its wench ready and was only $600. In retrospect I would should have got the smitty built m1 cause it was on sale for $800, but we live and we learn. Hopefully someone learned from this. Btw my truck killed a Kia soul. The pic doesn't show the fog lights and D-rings that were included

I think the sale ended. It was on bumperwarehouse.com or something like that as well at summit and 4 wheel parts

I purchased PARAMOUNT , did install with son, pretty easy, just keep a die grinder handy, had to notch mounting holes on one side about 1/4 " to bring it up tight , and even to trim work on both sides . Just small amount of grinding to elongate the holes, not a problem at all.

So, if I purchased the Magnum with 4" holes, could I re-use stock fog lights for now?

For those looking at the DV8 front bumper on Ebay for $600 here are my thoughts.
If your looking for looks only then buy it. If you plan on adding a wench then I suggest something with more structural support.
I installed mine on 2013 4x2 and just wanted the look. Did not add a wrench but added some mesh to cover wench holes.
For the price it was worth it. Note you will have extra bolts as they did away with some brackets. They don't tell you this so after pondering WTF i messaged seller and they advised they did away with some brackets.
Only issue I had was metal on metal clanging on left and right side where fender meets bumper. Only on bumps etc..
My fix was rubber spacers picked up at auto zone. Drilled a bit of rubber out for screw to be recessed. There is a white tab on fender that I screwed into. This worked fine and isn't too noticeable.
You can use the smittybuilt pdf for install just note I did not cut off front grill bracket as suggested.
Lights are cheap but come with order. Not that bright but my grill light works just fine.
So if your on a budget, and not a big off roader then buy this. If you plan on 4 wheeling and using a wench then spend the extra money on something else

    Vinny

You didn't add a winch but say its not good for a winch?

The winch plate is pretty damn stout, I will be adding a winch to my DV8 bumper with no concern.

    EDIT
I have the single piece bumper so that could be the difference with the bumper ends moving.

I think the winch plate are still the same.

I say this because the pulling a wench will do takes a toll (old truck exp.) Because the DV8 did away with the additional frame mounted brackets I feel the 6 bolts left will be under too much stress and will break over time. Just my opinion. By no means am I an expert in this field so take it at face value.
