2nd gen 2WD coin holder swap for cellphone mount

Since I had a slightly different base mount, I had to take a different route. There was a different forum I saw on how to do it the same way I ended up doing it here, but I don't know if that was on this site or a different forum. I blended both ideas.

Under where it clamps shut is where I drilled a hole and put the bolt from the parts user cfe4130 used in post #19. Once it's installed, the clamp doesn't move.

The instructions for the metal piece on the back of my case say to put it inside the case or on the back of your cellphone, but the magnet wasn't strong enough to go through my case and hold up my phone. My case is lined with RFID protection and holds cards (Driver's License, Debit cards, etc).

This took maybe an hour and a half of tinkering, brain storming, and trying to make it work. Overall, it's maybe a 10-15 min job.

 

I did the same thing mine was a little different but it’s super handy wish it was a little higher but overall really happy I did it.
