first I'm gonna try to push the liners in by drilling a different hole, then we'll see if I buy the shims or not.

You don’t need to shim it. My liner was trimmed and moved forward about 3/4”. I thought your liner was already modified.

    Oh and

@TheBeast , you may be able to add some caster to your alignment, get better (IMO) handling and leave the bumper shims in your shopping cart. Also, you may be able to loosen the bumper, pull it forward and re-tighten, it works on 3rd gens.

I also had rubbing but I just pushed the liner forward and redrilled it. I still have an occasional rub that i am still going to try to fix but I would say pushing the liner forward and trimming it some got me pretty well clear

I had bumper and liner trimmed when my lift went on. I did the “push the liner in” mod but it still rubbed, so I cut more off. I was worried about fog lights getting crap all in there so I made a sheet aluminum shield that covered just that portion of the housing. I didn’t like that cuz it looked ghetto so I got a new bumper...........problem solved

As @boardude and Warren will tell ya.....no mas problemos :D

yeah I tried pushing the liner last night, it was still rubbing at full turn.
gonna try to heat them up see if I can dent them forward when the plastic is hot. Right now both liners are off the truck. Only 3 clips holding them anyways.

I'm running on the rear part of my fender liner.

aftermarket bumper is on the list but I do like the "stock"appearance..maybe those coachbuilder shims will be the ticket.

I think I had to trim some of the bottom bumper on the driver's side before I ditched it when I was running the 295s.

alright, I cut the front liners in half and keep the section that covers the fog lights. I also heat it up and bend it forward. Each section is held with 2 clips and 1 screw. Seems to work fine.

My son earlier said, "just take the whole liner out." I was like, hmmmmmm. Maybe..... naaaaaaa, that'd probably be a bad idea because I have horrible luck and sumthin' would get screwed up.

Sorry for crappy pics. But can still get the idea. I also trimmed the bumper a little and adjusted it foward. No rubbing at all offroading. That's with 35×12.50. And used the heat gun a little just to shaped it with the edge of the bumper. Oh and don't mind that coilover resi photo bombing :D

Well, sounds like this is too late but you might be able to add caster to your alignment. IMO it'll handle a little better and keep the tire off the plastics.
