Just put a 3”/1” Toytech/Eibach lift on my 2017 Tundra. Also added an SPC upper control arm.

I’d really like to put 285/75/18 tires with an 18mm offset wheel. I’ve seen people say absolutely no rubbing and some say lots of rubbing. Looking for new opinions.

    Will it rub?

Any rubbing? I don’t want to have to do any modifications because of rubbing.

get 275/70/18 and you won't have to worry about trimming or cutting. Great piece of mind. It's not all about bigger.

I had 295/70/18 +18 offset, no rubs with a 3/1... But then I put 1.5" spacers and it rubbed everywhere. lol. CMC fixed it right up.

That’s only an inch taller than what I have now. I don’t think that’s enough. These things look tiny on my truck.

you'd be surprised how much bigger it looks. The wheels and the aggressive tread of new tires make a big deal. I'll post a pic tomorrow

1.5” spacers where? I’m thinking I might just have to get my welding friend to do a CMC.

On the front and rear I put the adapters... Not spacers. With the fender flares on I had to move the tires out.

OP, I would probably consider running the 295/70/18 with that setup rather than the 285/75. Those are about 3/4" taller than the 295's. Another size you could look at are the 285/70/18.

From another thread, I saw @Atomic City Tundra post his setup. It was essentially a 3/1 lift with 275/70/18 mentioned above. Here was his picture.

My 285/75/18s on +18 offset rubbed pretty bad. They’re pretty tall tires. I removed front and rear mud guards, pushed the front liner forward using DIY mod found in the forum, and had a CMC done yesterday. Finally I’m rub free and am very happy I went with 285/75/18. They look great!

    Good
Looking truck! This was really helpful! I think I’m just going to do 295/70/18 to be on the safe side. How much are people charging for the CDC?

Yeah I think 295/70’s is the safer bet.

I will let you know in a couple of weeks. I just ordered some 295/70r18 Ridge Grapplers for my truck. I think that the 275/70r18s that are on my truck right now combined with my lift look a bit small, so I decided to upgrade now that my current tires have worn down.

Agreed, you can fit 275/70’s on stock height Tundras after all. When you’re leveled on stock wheels they look small.

Don't fear the CMC. I will do my own if it comes down to me needing one for the 295s - but I suspect that I won't need one with my setup.

Idk cutting the frame is what gets me a little nervous. Especially with a factory warranty.

Was reading along and if you have to chop the cab mounts and weld plates in he’ll go with a 35x13 or wider. Might as well make it worth it. Like 325/65/18

Me too. Talked to my welding friend and he said this is a piece of cake. He does weld on live natural gas pipelines so I should’ve known lol.
