The fuse it show in the video works just fine. I believe it was a windshield washer fuse. Since I didn’t figure out the easy way to connect the white wire, my light will not dim.

“Do you have headlights with the sequential turn signal?

    Follow these wiring steps:
    1. Red Power Wire: On the passenger side headlight, locate the large red wire going into the headlight plug. Wire tap into this wire with the red wire on your vent light harness.

    2. Passenger Side Yellow Wire: On the passenger side headlight, locate the blue wire with a white stripe going into the headlight plug. Wire tap into this wire with the yellow wire on the passenger vent light.

    3. Driver Side Yellow Wire: On the driver side headlight, locate the light purple wire with a orange stripe going into the headlight plug. Wire tap into this wire with the yellow wire on the driver side vent light.

    4. Black Wire: Connect the black wire to a chassis bolt.

As for 3rd Gen (Premium headlights/sequential signals):
Unfortunately due to the way the wiring is done on new vehicles, you will not be able to use the bright/dim function. If you want the vent lights to be bright, just use the red wire on the harness. If you want the vent lights to be dim, then put the red and white wire together and wire that into the red wire on the headlight plug. This will make the vent lights always dim.“ (@yotaxpedition, 2024)

All ya"ll. Post 36 has the info you need. I decided not to hook up the relay to dim the white lights. Some risk in over driving the low beam headlight signal by adding the relay coil. The relay I got from Crutchfield (car stereo company on line). Mini relay, $10. First pic is driver side, wired beigey color. Second pic is power(switched+12VDC). Third pic is passenger side, grey w blue stripe.

Hi @jmfrisch- Finally installing mine today or tomorrow. Did you opt to power off the large red wire in the headlight plug as the yotaxpedition YouTub comment suggests, or tap into a fuse like @sCaryCary? Any recommendations on preferred method? Thanks!

Thank you for the pics. I used the red wire off the headlight connector to red on harness ( passenger side ) then followed your pics.

The number of people repeating the same nonsense about the “vents” cooling the turbos
So anyways. I’m looking for just those oem “vents” I broke one and the tundra’s whole front clip is plastic junk.

Agreed. Anyone believing different only needs to look at the picture in post #34 in this thread. It clearly shows the intercoolers have shrouds that only allow air to feed them from the main grille area.
And yes, the entire front end is plastic, and the grilles won't withstand looking at them cross-eyed without breaking.

Honest question and not trolling... but what do you guys do when you have these installed and have to remove the front bumper?
I bought these lights and before i install them i kinda wanna know what others would be doing.

My vent lights are in, and just ordered the TRD Pro grille and accessories, planning to do the swap next week or two once everything arrives. The clips on the back of the vent lights (or vents for that matter) are difficult to pop out. I broke the ones on my vents when removing, however wasn't that concerned because I knew I was putting in the lights.

I have two approaches in mind- remove all screws and plugs on the grille and see if i can pull off the whole front just a few inches, get behind each vent light and pop out the clips from the backside.

Or, option 2- unclip the wire terminals from each light to the control box, and undo each T-tap on each signal wire, and let the vent lights go out with the whole bumper/grille assembly while the control box, power and ground wires stay under the hood.

Can confirm turn signal tap location on trucks with Premium LED headlights. (yellow wire is turn signal on most of these "vent lights")

Refer back to post #54 in this thread.
There is a YouTube video linked and also a screenshot showing the correct pin location (#24) on the A53 and A54 connectors.
I was able to push the yellow wire terminal (sorta like a "probe") into and past the insulator of pin #24 on each side and make a connection, as shown in the video.

Whether you are on the driver or passenger side, this terminal location is on the bottom row of 12 small pins, and on the opposite end from the two large terminal locations. That should make sense when you look at the screenshot in post #54.
