I spent every dealer visit harping on the alignment and had it documented. At 14k miles they replaced my tires as a one time deal, but no change to alignment. I went to another shop with the Wescott alignment video and asked for the specs they used, camber under 0.4. I think they got to 0.4 or 0.5 as the closest they could get. They are still wearing harder on outside, but its not as severe.

That sounds like it must've been annoying. I'm pretty frustrated with Toyota so far. This is my first Toyota, but at least the Mopar warranty took care of everything I wanted when I had the challenger. Toyota feels like I'm pulling teeth, even with 3 different dealers

Alright, took mine in today. They said they are replacing all 4 tires and that Toyota is also replacing something else, and doing an alignment. They are covering everything on their dime.

Thanks for the tips everyone! When I get the work order in on Saturday I'll share what exactly they did

Not sure if I am early, but what did you find out regarding alignment?

I had a different experience - I bought new 295/70r18s this week, to replace the stock tires on my 2023 tundra trd pro. When discount tire tried doing the alignment, they said the specs did not come up on the computer for my vin, so they would not be able to complete. Told me I should take to dealership for proper alignment. This makes sense now due to the discrepancy in the alignment numbers that Toyota has/had wrong.

I have about 8k on the stock tires and brought them home with me vs disposal. Tonight after learning about this alignment issue for the first time, went outside to check my tires - (will post a picture) I can already see a tread issue with the front outside tires.

I guess I will have to take a trip to dealership to get a proper alignment. Not sure if I can do anything about the damage that was done to my original tires due to this issue or not? Does anyone have the correct specs as maybe when I get to dealership they have no idea about.

This is what they gave me back today. Delayed due to waiting on tires to arrive. Haven't had a chance to test on the highway (got it back at rush hour so I took the back roads), but will give an update this weekend.

I have a 2023 Pro that just hit 5K miles, same issue on front tires. Local dealer is not aware of a problem with alignment on pros but granted I am in a small town and there are not many on the road here.

My question is for the people who have upgraded to a 35" tire, or a tire other than the factory wildpeaks: Are you noticing uneven wear in the front on the new tires? From all the research I am doing, it seems like these factory wildpeaks are just crap tires. I haven't seen anyone who has upgraded their tire complain of the wear problem yet.

You need to ensure your dealership has the correct alignment specifications in their computer - ask them to open a TAS case, and then have them make sure your alignment is correct. If not, then yes you will continue to see damage to tires.

Brand engagement paid for new tires (2) after I submitted paperwork showing incorrect alignment.

Everyone with an alignment issue should take this PDF with them to the dealership. As you can see, alignment specs vary depending on vehicle ride height. There is not a one-size-fits-all spec.

So, I called and asked to speak to the service manager today and found out that they are aware of the problem, at least at my dealer. Without even asking she mentioned getting me new tires once they have my truck in and inspect the issue. She also mentioned that they have to actually take pictures and measurements of certain components to send to Toyota. I wanted to verify they had updated alignment specs, but she told me they have to open a case and wait for Toyota to advise them on what to do regarding the alignment, because their recommendation can change at any time... I expressed concerns over having to make a second trip because of "waiting for Toyotas recommendation" and she assured me it would be same day. So I guess I will find out next week. Truck is going in for my second fob, the tire wear issue, and the gas tank recall.

Service appointment tomorrow. Dealership (right next to N. American Headquarters in Plano, TX) has had a regional field tech out to align outside of factory specs. Second set of tires are badly feathered (replaced by Toyota at 9k mi., Now will likely be replaced again). Thank goodness I didn't have K02s put on at purchase like I have for our 4Runner. If no resolution from dealership or Toyota (current case open and case manager/moron assigned) I will be seeking out lemon law representation as this will be their 5th time attempting to repair. I purchased this truck to pull our overland trailer and utilize the vehicle for what PROs are supposed to be capable of. Well, up to this point that's not reality.

What are your alignment specs? I assume the dealer did a few alignments to correct the problem?

basic street alignment on any vehicle is a compromise...that said positive camber is undesirable in most cases as is excessive toe in...willing to put my $ on as close to zero camber as possible and maybe .10 a side on toe in. Probably .10-.15 total front toe in should reduce outside tire wear and zero camber will improve road handling slightly...part of the issue with the Pro is the additional 1.1 inch lift at the front. Needless to say I'l be watching my tire wear like a hawk and if anything seems off...take advantage of the free 1x alignment within the first 12 months 12,000 miles to MY Specs.

Spot on. I skipped the dealership mess and just went to my local Off Road shop and got it aligned to my specs. 0.1 degree toe in per side (factory mess was 0.2 toe OUT on right side and zero toe on left) and minimized positive camber down from almost 1 degree positive on the right to about 0.2 degrees positive camber on both sides now.

Got it aligned at 8k miles as it was obviously off based on factory tire wear.....its now been 10k miles since the alignment and tire wear went from amazingly bad to normal. I did another 6k on the stock tires after alignment and they would have gone much longer but moved up to 295/70-18 Nitto Recon Grapplers which are quite an improvement from the factory Falkens in every category except fuel economy.

I am spent on this issue. Bought a 23 1794 in May. 17k on the truck and I have tires that are simply unsafe to drive. No tread and cupping like above. Corp has been no help and 3 dealers same deal. One dealer offered two new tires. Not sure what else to do but sell it.

Yeah, its tough when Toyota is not working on a root cause fix. I as well am spent. Sitting right now at local Off Road shop who are working the alignment now. After Toyota's latest attempt, new front wearing heavy due to excessive camber. TOE appears okay as no cupping on outside.
    .
Right now at the local reputable Off Road shop who are working the alignment now. Going with TOE not to exceed .1 each side/max combined less the .20. Camber set to as close as zero as possible. I will share final numbers once I have them

Not to mention caster max positive within spec...I'll be going in next week for my 10k mile service I'll request an alignment to those specs and a before and after print out. We get 1 alignment within 12mo. 12,000 mile "adjustment period" lol.

Here are the new alignment specs used today. Huge improvement in steering feel and response

probably as good as it can get within stock adjustment looks like you had to give up some positive caster hopefully not noticeable but overall handling and mainly tire wear should improve

Took a 100-mile ride and it does feel much better. Steering is dead center and very responsive. Tracks straight.

Those are almost exactly where I am at with my realigned PRO and you will be happy with the results. I had more outside tire wear in the first 500 miles then the next 5000 with those specs.

Everyone, If you have a PRO get the camber to .2 to .4 each side and toe around .10 on each side and you should be good to go. I would highly suggest not going to a dealer for the alignment, find a shop that will get you setup to these custom specs on a Hunter machine.

Thanks. One thing that amazes me is the finger pointing drill between Falkan and Toyota playing the blame game. There is enough solid data supporting Toyota has the wrong alignment specifications. Interesting to see if there is any formal acknowledgement by Toyota with a TSB issued, NTSB action or even a class action suit?

Holy crap man, your toe was 1.51 up front total before, no wonder. That's crazy.

So a stock tundra on stock tires would be 1", and if I get larger tires, then it means less toe

My local dealer (Envision Toyota Milpitas) did alignment with old specs. They don't have these updated specs available and I have outer tire wear. Will go ahead and give this to an outside alignment shop

So for Tundra the alignment shop has to measure A-C? I have a TRD Pro and will get getting larger 285/75 R18 tires as current ones have outside edge wear due to 0.58 alignment.

I guess my total toe will be close to 0.10 with this
