Youre awesome  thank you. I will shop around. I still feel like I could do it, Ive had the entire sequoia front end apart multiple times, UCA LCA, struts, steering rack etc.
Guess Im paying for the warranty and peace of mind. I'm still going to check torque values on everything tho haha.
I asked the dealer the truck is coming from if theyll price match the online price for the kit, still waiting to hear back.

The whole marketing idea behind this lift kit was to make money for the dealerships. Most consumers are intimidated by the warranty part, they can’t deny you warranty coverage for installing your own lift kit. The Toyota dealers have been leveling and lifting trucks here for a long time. And just like the dealers who are smacking people around on price for the trucks are the same ones that will smack you around on installs and kit price. Move on from them, because those dealerships never change.

Thinking about purchasing the TRD kit and installing it myself. Has anyone else taken a shot at this yet?

One of the amazing members has posted the instructions! Search the bar. It seems very straightforward and manageable. There's a few special tools that I think you could use a press kits and a pickle fork etc. It tells you to remove your fog lights lol

if you do, I'd recommend you don't install the sway bar spacer/end links. keep the originals and you'll be able to use a skid plate

If you’re thinking about it as a DYI project, getting the spring compressed/assembled is something to think about . I got my lift installed this week and the guy who did it said the Toyota compressor had a hell of a time with it. I can say from the 15 miles I’ve drove on it , the lift/suspension rides way better than my stock sr5 suspension even with Toyo M/T’s.

Well… just putting that in there can cause them to void your warranty… interesting.

Appreciate it and it definitely looks taller than 3” and the inch for the tires. It makes the 35’s look small. I think not having running boards or sliders makes it look bigger too.

Anyone with the TRD kit looking for some rear springs to use instead of the spacer kit? Check the classifieds, I have some lightly used dobinsons for sale that are perfect for most builds

No I loved them and installed a new set of dobinsons yesterday, I just needed stiffer and longer springs for the weight I am adding to the truck

What did the TRD Lift Kit do to your towing performance? I'm looking at pulling a 6K travel trailer into locations off paved roads into gravel for hunting and camping. So I'm curious how the kit impacts the ride and capabilities when towing.

Still hurts to see people ditch the BBS Alloys on the TRD Pro. Ouch. They're such a beautiful rim.

Also...this is a bit of a hot take...but I think 37's are too much. 35's are the perfect balance between looks & functionality on these trucks. Just judging by that pic, it looks like they slapped on 37's with those aftermarket wheels.

Yup. "when the before picture is better than the after". No idea why you'd spend to get parts you then throw away... But, not my money.

I can tell you 100% that the coils that come with the Icons are black. So I'm assuming, like @ryanwgregg said, the guy had them PC'd red to match the take off coils.

This guy must have a fat wallet. haha
