Thanks, I thought it might be something like that. I like these wheels, which is why I wanted to keep them. I am not a fan of spacers, but will see how it goes. I'll have to do some research to see if I can see the offset on these compared to the offroad rims.

I have the same size tires. No rub on my platinum with the same wheels (different color). My guess is tire sizes vary a least a little even if the same “size”. Tread pattern might affect it as well. I got the falken wildpeaks AT3s. Even tire pressure might make a little difference.

Interested in getting a set, what are y’all paying, roughly, to have this kit installed?

So after driving for a day, the rubbing is worse than I thought and happens even not at full turn. It’s not gonna be feasible to drive it like this. I’m very irritated because I followed this guidance on tire size exactly:

    upload_2023-4-9_7-21-28.jpg

I want to stick with this setup, so I think I will have to do spacers, which I don’t want to. Also I would have put on 295’s instead of 285s had I known I would be using spacers.

I have the same size tires without issue. I ordered some spacers in preparation of having issues but haven't used them. It might be time I part with them.

    Lots of stuff!
I have 295/60/R20 on mine and had to take the mud flaps off. I am still getting a bit of rubbing on my fender liners and will pin those back soon.

What is the rubbing point on yours? If it the liner, it is easy to pin back to something. If it is the suspension parts or swaybar, spacers could help but will cause other rubbing issues.

I can't imagine that the shop would have let you leave if the tires are rubbing on the suspension!

Rubs on the sway bar on both sides. No other rubbing that I can tell, but it is pretty bad. So spacers should help.

Trd lift. Heritage grill. Painted grill surround. Ceramic tint. Bfg ko2. Leer canopy.
I had a bit of rubbing with the trd kit and platinum wheels. I bought Bora 1 inch spacers and fixed the issue.

How do you like those tires? How's the ride comfort vs the tires that came with it? Considering that size/type of tires for my Platinum as well.

Got quoted $6995.00 parts and labor in the PDX area. Seems quite high. :rain:

I really like them so far. Only about 1,500 miles on the setup, but I like it a lot. The ride is slightly stiffer than stock with the E load rating, but nothing dramatic. The truck feels very planted and connected to the road. Road noise is very minimal and there is no hum on the freeway. Snow/rain has been fine as well with no noticeable change from stock. FWIW, I had these installed at the same time as my lift - so I can't comment directly on ride comfort with stock tires that came on the truck vs with the Wildpeaks. But it honestly doesn't feel wildly different.

The light off roading I have done with them has proven to be a very nice set up for what I do though. And I especially love that it is all OEM.

Ya, that is FULL RETAIL for everything right there... do they negotiate at all? Some do some don't, but never hurts asking

Working on a couple quotes and negotiations for the area. I'll update if anyone has a better deal. I've seen some good prices on parts from other toyota dealerships; mostly midwest and southwest. Not much love on wanting to install non dealership sold parts. Sharks are hungry.

I purchased my kit from Sparks. With shipping came to about $2600. Then paid $2300 for install. Several folks on here have got better than that. I think you partly need to be lucky and be near a dealer that charges less. But I think if you can get around $5k for everything, that isn’t bad.

This price is why I decided not to go with the TRD lift it’s too much. I think I put together a better lift for under 5k finished and got some wheel/tires my total is still under 9k. For us in Canada, shop around.

Many here noting quite a drop in gas mileage with the lift, like 2-4mpg. But are you accounting for the error effect the larger diameter tires are having on the odometer and thus the onboard mileage computation?

Are people getting this installed by dealerships or lift shops? In Southern California all the dealerships I've gotten quoted are around 3k just to install, but a small truck shop quoted $1200, but not sure if I get the warranty with the truck shop.

You don’t get the warranty with the lift shop

…but through the dealer you will more than likely only get 1 year warranty (or 3 in cases where you bought the truck with the kit you or you got a great dealer relationship :D )

I think if you buy the kit from someplace like Sparks ($~2500 supposedly) and have the dealer install it for that price then you are getting a smoking deal

That was the plan to buy from sparks or a local place that has it for about $2400 and not have Toyota install it. I figure for $3600 to $3800 installed the savings easily would pay for any parts that might fail in a year.

Would like to have at least 1 year warranty so if anyone knows of a reasonable dealership lift kit price with install please let us know. I'm sure I'm not the only person in SoCal that wants to add this kit at a reasonable price.

I purchased my kit from sparks parts and my dealer only charged me $1038 for install. Not sure what happened because they originally stated that "Toyota" says is a 14hr job (@ $105/hr)
