Somebody needs to 3d print these in chrome, gloss and matte and sell them, make them slightly larger so they cover the exposed gap.. bet they would sell thousands of them.

I didn’t spend the money to just swap out stuff.
MY 23 Pro, I have the gap as well and noticed it immediately on delivery. Being that I've watched a lot of tundra videos before purchase, I expected it. No wind noise though but some panel on my left rattles with music (that's not even turned up much).

Inside door seals are interesting but don't look as fucked up as some of the photos here. Haven't noticed any water but summer is dying down here in the PNW. Been thru a few touchless car washes and hand washes if that matters.

Both 2024 platinum hybrid and 2024 limited non hybrid that I looked at last week had these gaps and the chrome molding piece sort of aligned... Not too crooked but not perfectly straight either. That's a tundra feature

I have a 2024 CrewMax and both rear window seals (back edge) have massive gaps… not only between to window seal and belt line seal as everyone else, but on the back vertical edge as well… allowing water to pour in, but surprisingly no noise of note.
I worked in the auto industry as an engineer on door trim, so know this is not right. The triple seals on the door allow water (which will come in the window seals some) to run out the bottom of the door steel and none should get into the vehicle… but this gap is unacceptable. The rear doors are also steel… with less rustproofing internally, so salty Michigan road grime dripping in isn’t ideal….

Unfortunately, that gap is correct and as designed.

skip to 3:30 where it’s covered

    Thanks for the video.
My gap concern isn’t that 1/4” gap between the belt seal and window seal that he pokes at…
My gripe is the warped window seal on the vertical edge.
And, from an automotive engineer who worked on door trim and seals for 20 yrs….
    1) Water is not ‘supposed’ to get in as he says. It does, and that’s ok, as the weep holes will let it drain out on the bottom of the door steel.
    2) The gap is a tolerance stack issue but is a poor excuse and can and should be controlled better.

I would have to see / hear it. Mine doesn’t exhibit noise… but any protrusion or ill-fitting trim can cause wind noise. ;(.

Gotcha. This thread was about “the gap” so I assumed you posted about that. That vertical seal does look warped in your picture. I personally don’t have that problem although I do have other fit and finish issues with my door seals.

Do you think this is due to sub par materials or installation issues?

    The 1/4” gap?
I think the belt seal is too short. Despite the slight upward curve, I’m pretty sure it’s just an extruded seal… so can be trimmed longer. The supplier probably meets the low end of the length spec and was PPAP approved and Toyota had bigger fish to fry than a seal gap on a rear door…
