Back some time NC had those as well and we would laminate the stickers and kind of place them up with a little bit of clear double side tape
Obviously you had to find a loose inspector to hand you your sticker …. nowadays we are sticker-less on the windshld side of things but not many inspectors bend the rules

A lot of the nicer packaged vehicles we see at our shop do sometimes have a tint in between the laminate …pretty cool if you ask me!

Good thread. Glad I saw it before I took my new pro (hybrid) to get tinted.

I always tint my front windshield with 55% ceramic for UV and heat reasons. Shall I hold off for now? Any other hybrid owner having issues?

Correct. Sat in my truck while son was at baseball practice. My breath fogged up the windows and the truck wouldn't start until I jumped it. This is my current theory anyway.

Very true, electronics are very sensitive to moisture. Had all the same things happen, a week after delivery took truck to get front windshield tinted. It didn’t die right away and tint shop was able to park in lot. After truck wouldn’t start with tons of error messages. 5-6 days later things normalized after being towed to Toyota.

you really need to tell your tint guy to be super anal about placing wedges and towels to prevent the slip spray from flowing down into the middle passenger side dash.

My tint shop in Texas provided card sized clear film for registration stickers and toll tags. Apply sticker and tag to clear film, then press to tinted film. Adheres to windshield film fine and can be easily removed and replaced without damaging windshield film.
