Anyone know how the hell to jump this thing off if ever needed, or to jump another vehicle with cables from mine? Is there some terminals under the hood somewhere. If so I never saw them. Haven't opened the back seat battery compartment yet, too many car seats lol.

Driver side in the cab under the back seat, remove the access panel and there is your battery.

    Question for the pro owners
Are the door handles and tailgate handle gloss black or flat/matte black?
    Thanks.

Outdoor lighting little better now to compare

I donot benefit nor affiliated with this seller in any way. I had a PM asking where these were from so I’m sharing. Also i did ask the seller of these if he could cut other materials. He said he could, i was thinking about sending him some forged carbon fiber sheets https://www.rockwestcomposites.com/chip-board

Next mods going to see how i like the AFE intakes, burger jb4 (been sitting here since before the truck got here just have not put to much time into trying to find the rear harness as the hybrid stuff seems to really get in the way of what you need to do comparing to the non hybrid install video. Also got the burger valve noise maker things lol Not bothering with an exhaust if anything i will try bypassing the secondary cats then datalogging to make sure everything stays happy (check for boost creep etc)

Put these on this evening, drove it quick to see how it sounded. This box is so well sealed as a true cold air intake that there is hardly a difference in noise. Now I’d you want noise there are removable plates on it but if you want performance you’ll want to keep it sealed. It’s essentially a prettier version than stock with a filter with more surface area. Very well engineered though I am impressed I have to say. Uses factory mounts off air boxes fits just like stock. Took maybe 30 minutes to do it however I watched the directions several times before doing it so it would be easier to go about. Make sure you put maf’s in right direction (tubes) or you’ll have issues. Also I noticed left and right maf’s had a slightly different number on top so I made sure the left stayed on the left and right stayed on the right. Not sure if it would have made a difference but didn’t want to test it out. New mounts for maf use new screws Torx heads. You will also need flat head, Phillips, 10mm to remove stock straps and I think it was a 7mm to fasten new worm gear straps.

How are you liking the new AFE intakes? I've been considering that as an upgrade on mine

they are very well built. i seen some people talking negatively on them, i figured id try them. But man they were well thought out.

They use the factory bushings to mount, the line right up for the factory cold air ducting and seal up to it. They have removable covers if all you care about is the sound. The real gain over factory airbox is CFM from larger surface area filters. I got the dry filters as the other kit was a 6-12 week lead time. This truck's engine compartment i can tell from using high pressure washing is sealed up pretty good from elements like my nissan is therefore even with covers out you arent going to hear alot. My cayenne is decatted with intakes as well, it has louder intake sounds than both of the other FI vehicles but after a wash, much more water under the hood. I dont think the truck will benefit much if you leave the factory engine calibration in place, im sure the factory airboxes were engineered for what Toyota wanted out of this motor. So i think only worth it if you plan on getting either a VR tune or JB4 from Burger.

Just got my TRD pro. I'm replacing my SR5 off-road that I got in january. The last one I ran 37s on with this custom wrap and a bunch of other goodies. Doing the same on the TRD Pro. Timing worked out so the wraps already done

Took a trip to Asheville before the hurricane killed our Florida plans. Literally climbed this joker up the mountain and finally had a use for the fancy front facing cameras I said I would never use. Not any major off-roading but more than riding around corn fields I normally do. Haha

I like it so far ride and comfort wise. Only thing I am hating about this thing is my gas mileage. I averaged 12.9 in the mountains and on the interstate with eco mode turned on. I knew the lift and tires would affect it but so far the best I could do is 15.6 mpgs stock. But then again it’s smiles per gallon that matter most I guess.

Just did JB4 and his vent to atmosphere diverter valve adapters. Noticed driving a different vehicle and wife following me in truck the intake sound difference is much more noticeable by whoever is in front of you for sure.

yes but like Terry at Burger said start with 2 screws out. I tried all 4 and it affected drivability due to mass air flow measurements being too far out of spec. I went to 1 screw out truck runs perfect. Tune is great. I used a special tape we use that is like a stretchy rubber we use to secure fittings on cellular sector radios and wrapped the entire JB4 in that for weather protection. Reason being the one in my cayenne got water damaged some how. I suggest it not sure what Terry will say but for sure seal up your chips before the install. Today I got the tint evened out and step bars finally. Going in 2 weeks to get rid of secondary’s leaving factory TRD exhaust on and I think that will be a great balance of sound plus a little bit of top end gain removing those secondary’s. Did same with my Cayenne Turbo and it sounds perfect on stock muffler. The nismo on other hand tuned up, runs so rich on 93 it looks like an asshole with a Cummins when I hit it lol. Part of GTR’s and pump gas those cars love to run pig rich. Next mod id like is audio and one of those peddle input accelerator things to give faster response so downshifting occurs quicker. Wish they would of given us paddles I’m so used to driving with those in everything else. I prefer to be In control of trans over computer. With tires and all I’m getting 15mpg highway and about 13 around town.

are the TRD Pros coming with the all weather floor mats now?

I love my 2021 factory TRD floor mats. New some early adopters didn’t even get floor mats with their trucks? Which is insane?

Mine came with all weather mats. 3M used my truck to make the full hood template for their clear bra, so if yours doesnt come out right, dont blame me... Just got my tint and Tires & boards done. 20% tint up front and 285/75 Falken Wildpeaks to fill up the wheel wells a bit more and RB20 boards. Retrax pro should be here tomorrow, then I'll be done for a minute or two.
