Is there a easy way to recalibrate the system to the 35s that’s you know of? And I didn’t hard calculate the mpgs where you do the total miles divided by the gallons so maybe it is better/ worse than the instrument panel shows …. Idk, I didn’t think about calculating with the 35s so I’ll have to give that a shot next go round.

Just give a few percent based on tire calculator comparison table. But the Toyota computer had speed a few below actual stock, 35s puts it only a couple ahead based on speed above now.

Also, don’t use Tow+ for that camper. No need unless you’re over 5k pounds

I get 17.5 to 18 mpg normal driving. When I tow my boat (just over 5k lbs), I get 8 to 10 mpg.

Added Wildpeak R/T tires this week. 35x11.50/18. 64lbs still adds 26 per corner so there is a mileage hit. Satisfied so far, fills up wheel well

Your truck looks amazing! Are those 35 x 12.50 and stock suspension? And which steps are those/are you happy with them?

Stock height. Very slight rub in reverse, I used a zip tie to pin the mudflap and liner back. Super simple.
Also these tires are more of a true 35 at 34.8. Most others are at 34.5. FYI

Can you post a pic of your zip tie pin back of the mud flaps and liners? That sounds a lot easier/less aggressive than the posts I've seen where the metal piece behind the liner is removed or flaps are trimmed. Thanks!

I’ll try to take a pic later but all I did was drilled a hole an inch from inside edge of flap and liner. There are holes on the frame that a tie can go thru. Took 5 minutes, including getting wire tie from tool bench

Hey dooky. Did you wire the remote battery terminal directly to the battery? I was wondering if the wires can connect to a bus bar or must they be direct to the battery. TIA.

Hey Logey22. Did you finish the electrical mod? I was curious about the remote battery terminals. I plan to do the same, but wanted to wire them from a bus bar. Should they go directly to the battery or can they come from a bus bar? Thank you.

Rig in action this weekend very glad I went 37s. Scraped under my bumper a bit. Approach angle on the truck is not good will be doing full bumper in the future. IMG_20230716_211607_768.jpg

For those of you who have replaced the rear coils with the Dobinson C59-837V, could you confirm a couple details?
    • Are any other modifications or parts required to fit these to the TRD Pro model?
    • Did you have to use compressors or can you drop it enough to swap the coils?
I have roughly 350lbs (between my Decked system and Leitner ACS Forged, both loaded) and I think these springs will eliminate the slight squat. Thanks for any info you can provide!

Here’s how the truck sits today:IMG_1868.jpg

I had similar set up and it got rid of squat perfectly. No other parts, just did an alignment after. Seems just as smooth ridewise. I did go with exact spring tension as you.

I have the D6 steps on my Pro and they are awesome. Just far enough out to stop door dings and they sit really flush with no brackets hanging low. I can't believe they are not more popular.

I was looking at the D6 steps on their website, along with the DT and DSS, and it's tough to get a sense for their profile. Can you post a pic (or have you already)? I'd like to see those 35" Nitto Mt's too.

Has anyone purchased or seen these wheels in person? On Toyota's website, Tundra exterior accessory pages, a 20" OEM TRD wheel option. I called a local dealer and the wheels are available separately (not only a tire/wheel package) for about $560 each but they couldn't tell me anything about them, e.g. material, forged, etc. I am curious if they are as high quality/strength as our OEM 18" TRD Pro wheels. Anybody know anything about them?

Don't think there is any way to recalibrate with Toyotas.

I use the Tacomaworld tire calculator and add the percentage to my miles to get a baseline of actual mpg.

No changes to front suspension. All stock TRD Pro except for the rear coils. The 1" lift in the back is to compensate for added weight.

Tires are Falken Wildpeaks (not the OEM, retail) in LT285/75 R18 129R
