Hello everyone. I am newer Tundra owner. So far I love it. I bought it mainly to be able to pull a 5,000 lbs boat when needed. It does amazing job and has plenty of power.

I am planning for two upgrades. First one is pretty straight forward as I want a big brake kit. I feel without a boat it probably needs a little better stopping power. The trailer has surge brakes and I cant really tell much of a difference between towing or not when it comes to stopping power. I am looking at this upgrade although it seems rather pricey.

Second upgrade I am not really sure where to begin. I am hoping someone here has done something similar. When trailering the rear end does squat a little. Depending on any additional payload. Example:New Rig.jpg a long fishing trip to North woods. Has anyone had success with something like coil over shocks? Is there any other possibilities?

I will include one pict of boat hooked up, keep in mind this pict is without all the extra payload I bring with me on longer trips. I trailer-ed it 10 hours north to Minnesota full load and had no issues. Just seeing if I can eliminate some of the squatting.

    Thanks in advance

    Take a look at this...

Quite a few members have installed and really like the set up. If you go to the search bar and type in 'roadmaster' you should be able to find several builds/reviews with it...

    here's one on 21 Pro...
    Roadmaster Active Suspension

Good luck in finding what works for you and welcome to the forum!!!

I added black SumoSprings to my truck, simple, inexpensive, and efective. I'm happy with them, and would buy again.

I run the active suspension, excellent product that delivers. I have the HD version, set it with a quarter which is in between the white and black setting disks. Gave an inch of lift in the rear. Compliment the ProTruck suspension setup I have, which lifted the front 2 inches. So basically I am sitting like a TRD Pro, but instead of level I have about an inch of rake.

I tow quite a bit and the setup I have is excellent, especially for the $. Definite upgrade over stock.

Also, you can gain a lot by using cryo rotors and good pads. No real need for the big brake kit.
