MGM has been a staple for so long, and it's part of the default greyscale for TRD Pros. I don't think they'll drop it. I would bet Underground has a couple more years before it gets dropped. Just how Cavalry Blue and Army Green were dropped. Besides, underground isn't even an option on the Tundra. It probably won't ever come to it, just like the Lime Rush and Electric Lime colors that the Taco and 4Runner had.

I would have loved it if Solar Octane, Cavalry Blue, and Army Green stayed around, but apparently Toyota thinks the Tundra should only have boring as fuck colors. You've got 2 white colors, 3 grey/grey adjacent colors, 3 browns, 2 blacks (Blueprint is black unless it's under a spotlight), and a single red. That's 11 "different" colors, but then you get trim locked out of/into certain ones, so it's even fewer options. The Limited trim has the most options for color as it is only missing the mudbath brown that is locked to the Pro this year.

MGM has been a Tundra color since 2011. That’s a long run

They need to bring back Blue Ribbon Metallic for the new color.

That's unfortunate. I was hoping to see something updated on the outside for '26.

I wouldn't expect a cosmetic refresh until at least 2028. Just look at the previous gen. 2007-2013 with no real changes.

I wouldn't expect them to do it any sooner than they did with that gen, especially since this recall business has cut profits on the model. Even if they had plans to refresh it, I think the motor replacement costs pushed that out further.

That makes sense. I wonder if million mile tundra autopsies played any part in aggressive cost cuts, which resulted in blown motors. Went a little overboard saving a few dollars?

Eh, I don't think so. Toyota has built their reputation on reliability and that is worth more to sales than planned obsolescence. Keep in mind that they aren't rooted in the stereotypical corporation mindset. They have different values.

They also know that the consumer culture of North America will keep people buying a new vehicle ever few years, and what better way to get them to be loyal than for the one they got from you being completely problem free? They don't have to break it to get us to buy a new one, we will do it anyway.

I think the early failures were honest mistakes, not intentional failure points that popped up earlier than planned by some evil mastermind.

Looks like a more silver-ish MGM to me, but that might just be that it doesn't photograph well. I know underground is underwhelming in pics, but looks good in person.

That’s too blue. It leans more teal.

Magnetic Gray Metallic is a staple in the Tundra/Sequoia lineup, so unsure if it goes or stays. Same with Lunar Rock at this point.
