There's nothing different about the different bodies. Why would the seats not fit in another trim?

I can't see anything preventing us from installing it, unless there's some dumb thing in the electronics locking it to specific electronics or something of the like. With how complicated changing headlights has gotten, this could be something similar.

ya, there are more things, little things, bigger things, etc, but its not worth getting into, you like your rig and trim, thats all that matters.

    I am genuinely curious, though.

Ill try to put together something when I get more time, I did it before, but don't know where the hell that is, lol

all it does is turn into a bunch of limited guys saying I don't want that, I don't want this, lol, but ya, thats why they make trim levels, I have to have AVS, so the limited is out.

there is a difference on why the platinum is more, its not just rear heated and cooled seats only.

    anyways..

here are just a couple off the tippy top of my head

    1) AVS
    2) power running boards
    3) power bed step
    4) HUD
    5) rear built in sunshades
    6) seats have more adjustments (power thigh support, 4 way lumbar)
    7) Rain sensing wipers
    8) ambient lighting
    9) massaging seats

there's more, but thats all I have quickly.

*edit, I added some of what @Reciprocal just listed for at least somewhat more comprehensive list.

The Limited can be optioned with most or all of the same features of the Platinum excepting:

    grey painted wheels
    rear door sunshades
Instrument panel and door ambient lighting
Front- and rear-door LED pocket lights
    Platinum Instrument Panel Badge
    Optional HUD display
10 way driver seat (8 way on Limited)
4-way lumbar (1 way lumbar on Limited)
    Multi function front seat massage
    Heated and ventilated rear seats

The Limited has 140 lbs less curb weight, slightly more towing and payload.

My previous Ridgelines were offered in only 3 trim levels and almost no configurable options.

For me, the panoramic glass roof w/sunshade was a must-have, :plane: as was the auto level rear air suspension, the panoramic view monitor wasn't but it came with it and I love it, as well the tow tech package and wireless camera is nice to have. I like the wheels and front grill better on the Limited, my $0.02

we each had some we each missed, lol.

at the end of the day, there is a decently long list of things on a platinum over a limited, there is a reason its 70K.

now, that said, Im not saying its worth it to everyone, I certainly get that, but it is to me, especially for AVS

Rain sensing wipers were nice to have on my F150, and especially its live doppler radar weather feature. The power running boards I've seen on a Limited, although not listed, rear sun shades would be nice too, power bed step would be nice too, didn't see that option. No question the Platinum and 1794 have their appeal, I don't deny, I just was not persuaded enough, and especially I really do think the Softex seats are going to be a better long term option for me and my dog, and they look great.

Ah, thank you. I didn't know about some of those.

More seat adjustments would be nice, as would rear door sunshades. The ambient lighting could be nice, especially since Toyota seems to think that interior lights are a bad thing in this generation. I think it's because the dome light placement was made with the pano roof in mind.

HUD is intriguing but IDK if I'd like it or not, and I could see the AVS being handy.

There are definitely more upgrades than I thought, and I see why some would prefer the Platinum trim.

I just noticed the SR5 gets a 2026 leather seat option.

Leather seats on the 2026 Limited and SR5 look very plain. Now it can be said the Platinum leather seats look like an upgrade over the plain leather in Limited and SR5, in any color you like! (As long as it's black.) :) Looks like the TRD Pro is the only trim with Softex seats?? And they look best of them all, more striking than all including the Capstone, (in the pictures).

Time to pony up $2,600 more for the 2026 Limited with plain leather seats, the seats are only about $600 more but the $3,000 cash back is now only $1,000.

Mudbath TRD Offroad Limited with black leather is tempting. I think that truck is going to look really good without camo accents.

I'll have to ask, it's my nextdoor neighbor with a Limited TRD Offroad package, 3 inch lift and automatic power running boards. Not sure if his is 2023 or 2024 year. I know it's a Limited because he showed me his Softex seats that was the basis for me getting them. I don't think his boards were aftermarket but I'll have to check. Or an SR5? His tailgate "TUNDRA" is blacked out, mine is not. How did he get that? We both have Ice Cap White.

You could get that on the 2025s. Just had to get a TRD Off Road Premium package.

this is a HUGE must, otherwise you'll get the people b!tching and moaning about leather not holding up with long term usage.

But leather conditioners change the appearance too, in an unflattering way, so I'll still bitch and moan about them, my last 4 new trucks had leather. I don't like the armor-all appearance they take on.

Okay I'll buy it's not armor-all, (and would hope not), but if you use nothing at all leather still takes on a glossy patina just like a worn steering wheel, just the characteristic of leather I don't like. I've had plenty. If you're saying a leather conditioner would preserve the tack, rough hewn matte texture as when new I'll eat my hat. They always get smoothed out, worn and glossy from sitting, sliding. Some people think that's desirable but I don't like it. Doesn't mean I'm a hater. What I like about leather is the long lasting new car smell versus Softex which smells like GM's glue adhesives for the first week and then the new car smell is just gone. :(

The Tundra letters are an add on. Port installed option. Steps can be as well, and they will use stuff like the Amp steps which are aftermarket.

Of all the options on Plats/1794 and Caps that are not available on lower trims or even the Pro, that I had on my 2.5 gen Plat and miss sometimes, is the fully electric steering wheel!
