    This ^^^ is hilarious. I had no idea! I’m interested because I came from a 2014 Tacoma into this Tundra. I can’t believe I kept that head unit installed for 6 years before I changed it. Loved that rig. And love this one too!

    I should clarify also. Sorry, I'm confusing the point. I'll correct that. QNX was used in automotive since early 2000's and acquired by Blackberry Limited (RIM) in spring 2010 hence the software ID in the Taco head unit. I'm reading it was used on the Playbook, Bold and Curve devices. Point is, I do not expect much focus on software innovation in the 3rd Gens or even Toyota more broadly. Thats ok, I didn't choose my Tundra for the software, I just wish it was more prioritized in design and modernized in this generation.

    Our facilities guys used it for HVAC control systems and treatment plants. Hey it could be worse, Toyota could be using Windows like Ford's Sync. Although in all fairness, I have only experienced 2 BSOD in 9 years in my F-150 w/ Sync 1.
