I will undoubtably hit you up for that warranty information if we go that route. Thank you for offering that!

Yeah the trailsport is the best trim to me. I just wish it had the full digital instrument cluster the elite has. That instrument cluster was really cool . Reminds me of my Tesla software sort of

I prob would have bought the new crv if it got the features the European model got. US got so hosed on that. They have optional PHEV, full pano roof, ventilated seats, hud, etc.

I am shopping a midsize truck maybe I’ll look at the Ridgeline . The pilot update gives me hope that dinosaur will get refreshed soon. Other wise choice seems to be R1T, Tacoma hybrid or ranger raptor

We had to go with the Touring 7 passenger so we could get two car seats in the middle row and one in the back. I would have been happy with the base model if it had captain's chairs in the second row.

That color is awesome! My wife loves black cars so we went for the black trailsport.

I wish the ventilated seats were an option add on all trims. That's a creature comfort I know we would both enjoy.

Here are the trim issues in 4 places but I am sure if I look more I will find more :) Again no big deal, Honda will fix it, I hope, but disappointed on quality on most cars. I mean look at the 2022-2024 Tundras with all the trim and other issues. Plus this is me wifes and she likes it, so who cares :)
    1. Front passenger by headlight trim - large gap
    2. Front driver by headlight trim - small gap
    3. Rear driver side black trim over tire - large gap
    4. Back / corner passenger side - small gap

Plastics have a mind of their own apparently. Pics provided aren't bad and doesn't deter it being an option for us, thanks for sharing.

Worse things could happen LOL, like engine failure. In the grand scheme of things yes I am a bit disappointed, but the Honda dealership I am going to are awesome. I've been their customer for 25+ years and they do above and beyond on all my Honda's, and this small stuff is fixable.
On my 2011 they had the VTEC-VCM major engine recall, and they rebuilt my entire engine at 97K miles and they did the timing belt and water pump for free. And these guys actually know how to rebuild an engine, they absolutely rock.

    http://www.autoblog.com/2013/10/23/honda-settles-class-action-lawsuit-engines/

So yes I like and stick with the Honda brand for sure. Just like I do with the Toyota.

But I am really surprised with the 3rd gen engine fiasco. It seems like an engine design issue which to me is a big NO NO for a Japanese company and particularity Toyota. Before buying Toyota again I will think twice I guess, just like I did with Honda after their VTEC-VCM recall.

Never owned a Honda, but not opposed because I want the better 2024+ piece of junk lol, whatever that looks like. Tip toeing around looking at the 4R and LC now, supposedly both great quality vehicles.

In regard to the V35A-FTS from what I've been reading and gather with the mess of threads and videos, it's more of a manufacturing flaw vs a design issue. If that's the case, in my opinion, it's largely not Toyota's fault but perhaps a supplier concern.

We bought my mother a 2005 and a 2012 for her past two vehicles and she’s pretty set for life with the old style Pilot. Our honest only debate is between a 2015 or a 2023 model ha.

When we first got her the 2005 model we all joked that everyone in the car can do the YMCA and no one would hit each other. Feels like you’re in a space shuttle compared to the spaciousness of other vehicles.

Blame is so easy to point and share around. We live in a very complex world with many moving parts and large supply ecosystem. Our world is more complicated and so are the designs and dependencies. My gut feeling is around the bearing using metal instead resin sleeve as in the V8's, but again I am not an SME in the area :)

My wife wanted the Trailsport but if it was up to me I was sold on the Lexus GX. Looks solid man. And only $6K more than the Honda I got . But me wife wear the pantalones :)

In late 2022 when we were shopping for a vehicle for the wife, we narrowed it down to the Pilot or the Kia Telluride. My top priority was reliability and hers was space behind the rest seat. We ended up with the Honda because the only dealers around here with Tellurides had $10k markups on them.

The only thing we were a little hesitant on was the pushbutton transmission but it's been fine so far. I'm not a fan of all the safety stuff but it's probably good for my wife to have it.

The seating is also stupid and makes it really tough to get 3 car seats in. If I'd known what a hassle it would be, I might have considered paying extra for the Kia (assuming it's any better).

Kia is not better, they have a lot of issues and their 100,000 mile warranty is rubbish. Is a nightmare to get them to cover anything. Is like one of these home owners warranty programs. My friend got one and she regrets it big time.

I was happy with my 2012 and I have a friend who only buys Hyundai/Kia/Genesis and hasn't had any issues.

They screwed up the telluride for me when then got rid of the amber DRL’s. They were kinda iconic and awesome looking.

I had a Kia optima that I actually really liked

I mean the most recent recall doesn’t shine a bright light.

Telluride is one the most recalled of its class and is pretty high on the overall recall list.
