Toyota also frustrates buyers like me with the “build and price” tool. I go build out a Limited Hybrid 4X4 with JBL, TRD Off-Road, and Limited Premium Package with no sun roof. I don’t want a sun roof, I do want the upgraded headlights because I drive at night the majority of my miles. Well Toyota doesn’t make that truck, they’re never going to make that truck.

So why does Toyota show all these combinations that they will never build for dealer stock, and you can’t place an order for?

Because big corps could careless. Just like they went backwards on a lot of things for the 3rd gen. Always someone out there willing to part with their money.

Because some beancounter determined that if you offer too many combinations or permutations you will not make as much money on your investments.

That’s fine. Reflect that on the Toyota website.

Yah I hear you. But that's another beancounters job and they don't talk to one another.

Dang, now most of the trucks I was looking at sold over the weekend. SR5 with off road and convenience package. They weren't even in lots, they are in build or transport stages.

That's what I get for being so indecisive. SR5 vs Limited with off road package is what I'm looking at. I don't know if the $9K jump in price is worth it. Probably not.

I think it would be, remember you'll get some of that 9K back on the back end with higher resale plus a long time of enjoying a truck with more on it

but ya, tundras sales are way up and they seem to be moving, I think it was up like 20-30% last quarter over a year ago

From what I see on the lots the iForce Tundras sell quickly especially SR5 and Limited. The higher trim levels, and iForce Max trucks sit. People around here are saying NOPE to trucks significantly over $60K. Reality is finally setting in.

I had a laugh at myself for being poor or the fool of poster who was bragging about his $70k deal he scored on a truck. I guess that 120 month financing is real.

I've seen more than enough trucks slide down the boat ramp with their rear tires spinning and have to get pulled out. Lakes in south texas, get algae built up on the ramps and it causes them to be slick. Now that the lakes are so low, it doesn't matter. lol.

This has been a great post for me to read through as I have been looking at getting a 1794 w/TRD Pro option. What are some of the tactics you guys have used to negotiate besides getting pricing from different dealers? Also, when you are talking about negotiating the MSRP and Out the door number, do you guys account for what is on the TSRP which includes the dealer or distributor added options?

I purchased a 24 Platinum for 14% off sticker. It took me about 2 months of talking to several dealers all over the country and using offers to get competing offers from local dealers. Finally at the end of July when deals are more likely to make deals, I had to offers from two local dealers and just let them go at each other. I was very honest and open with both. I think being patient is the best thing you can do.

@SUMMIT yea i'm trying to stay more patient and been working to get quotes from across different states and toyota regions. Hopefully I can get a good deal as the new 2025 inventory starts coming in whenever that happens.
