2024 Lunar Rock Limited

I also have another thread specific to the paint here. Maybe because mine was so fresh and the clearcoat possibly wasn’t fully cured I ended up getting some stains embedded from some kind of bird poop / pecan tree that sat ~24 hours on the hood. I’ve never seen anything happen like that, so I have to attribute it to uncured clearcoat (in my non expert opinion). In the other thread they suggested first rubbing alcohol, then followed by tar/bug cleaner. I will first go to the dealer to document it, in case it doesn’t go away and I want to make sure I don’t do anything that will further complicate the situation.

Just be warned, lesson learned from me - pay special attention to the new paint and keep it covered. Either this is just a defective paint job, or I didn’t know that you needed to be extra careful on a fresh car. I’ve got a white car that i sometimes keep uncovered in the same spot and this never happened. Picture attached (the white square is just the reflection of my overhead light in my carport). Those splotches are smooth to the touch and deep in there…tried all sorts of gentle approaches to remove to no success.

 

Same but in MGM. Color matched with the trd sport trim is where it’s at. Lunar Rock is so nice.

 

I think there is some confusion on this.

The SR5's didn't have the chrome, it's part of the limited. The Off Road package doesn't change this, but new for 2024 is the "nightshade" optional package that blacks out / removes the chrome.

 

$4700 under MSRP for 2023 Limited with OR package ($62k down to $57k). Purchased it yesterday in Washington.

Unfortunately, interest rates in PNW through Toyota financial was 7.99% even with an 800+ credit score. Local credit unions weren't netting me much better and couldn't apply $500 military discount unless it's financed through Toyota so doing the math on interest paid vs slightly lower financed amount it was a wash.

Someone posted on Reddit the other day a dealership in Houston offering 2.99% rates on Tunrda's, but it seemed to be regional after I started clicking through the process and entered my zip code it went back up to 7.99%

congrats! Thats exactly what I want but 2024 for the color match. I’m willing to fly and drive but WA to FL is a bit much.

 

Baltimore Maryland and got HUGE money for our trade in too. $42,500 for a '23 Highlander XLE with 6,800 miles on it.

 

Love the Lunar Rock color but was not available in the 1794. I do like all the interior appointments/ wood in the 1794. A Lunar Rock 1794 would be perfect !

does this have the pvm + bsm outer mirrors add-on and premium audio package (14 in screen)? I have a 24 sport coming with these packages and I just want to confirm if these packages might include power folding mirrors (I don't think they do?). It looks like the limiteds do; I'm not sure if that's all limiteds or just the ones with the pvm + bsm package?

 

I just went w/ the SR5 w/ the TRD Sport Package. Aside from that, no upgrades (8 inch screen, no power mirrors). I would've liked some of that but didn't feel like paying more and also having worry later about more things possibly going wrong.

 

Finally got my truck in late May. I posted price sheet in the “what did you pay” thread.

2024 limited hybrid lunar rock with TRD OR package, power package, floor mats. $66,679 sticker, got $8,500 off. Could probably get $10k off in current market.

Bone stock and will probably stay that way other than new tires when the time comes.

ceramic tint
Running boards
Bed step

 

Looks great, solves all the colorway issues with chrome and weird painted mustouche over my '23 (non hybrid).

Ceramic tint: I went with 35% rear, 20% front which is a good match up, and 50% windshield. I'm happy with all of it.

I love the lunar rock and the paint match on the 2024 should have been done from the start. I needed to be a bit more patient apparently, paid straight MSRP in 2023 and felt like it was a good deal since everyone around me had dealer markups. Love the truck though.

i went with go rhino D1 extreme step. The extra drop makes it easy for the kids to get in.
