Grew up in FV. Yes. Loved that little 4cyl 5sp manual. It wasnt a good off-roader. Had no locking diff and would get stuck easily with diagonal frt/rear wheels in the air. Was Ok though as I was a big snow skier at the time and it was perfect for that. (Big Bear & Mammoth)

**Back on Thread Topic - 10K change coming up. Gonna let the dealer do this one along with fuel line and trans recalls. Hoping to be able to get a sample for Blackstone Labs. (I did changes at 2K & 6K)

Wow. They must have caught up. You got that back much faster than the 6 weeks or more lately. Thx for sharing. My dealer is doing the free 10K on Monday as well as the fuel line temp fix. Gonna ask if they’ll sample for me. ((You know I’ll be checking the oil level before I leave ))

Simply posting for reference for others to compare if interested:

2nd oil change ( first done @ 5K (sample not taken))

sample taken from cold engine and taken mid drain (after 3 qts had been drained).

Did they just say that they can see engine bearings aluminum residue in your oil?

Whether you buy from ebay or Amazon make sure to get it from a toyota dealer. Afterwards print out some info on the transaction and keep it with your truck stuff.
