2023 Tundra 1794 Vibration/Noise

Honestly I wish they would just fix my vehicle. I do love everything about the sequoia and the tundra but that vibration is just too much.

 

mine does that too starting at 116km/h (72mph).

it’s annoying, humming from the left side close to the pedals/bottom engine wall

 

I've also experienced this in 23 Limited built in November of 22. It's very slight, but definitely there around 75 mph. I can also feel it while towing around that speed so I agree that it's based on some sort of rotational frequency rather than engine load.

 

So Toyota came back and told me the vibration is not abnormal. It’s gotten worse compared to when we first discovered the vibration. Disappointed but I’m officially taking them to court. The severity with the vibration is so bad at times, it becomes very dangerous.

 

Have a 2023 with 10,000miles. Has been doing this since new. It is always at 73-83mph and right at about 1750rpm. Taking my truck in again here next week and hoping to get them to fully acknowledge they hear it and feel it this time. I hope someone on here gets Toyota to admit there is an issue, identify the cause, and provide a fix. This is my second Tundra, third Toyota, and never thought I would be so upset with a Toyota. I wish I never let my 2013 Crewmax go!

 

A law firm forwarded my case to another firm to have it reviewed. Seems like a lot more people than we think is having this problem. I just feel bad for the people who spent way above the msrp to be disappointed with these vehicles. I can almost promise you it’ll go to a FTS and they will say it’s operating normal or operating as intended. Toyota is now a joke with customer service. Make a report with nhsa as well.

 

Keep us posted even if it is to say "they settled with you and you have a non disclosure agreement".

 

Will do. I’ll post the outcome on this forum when I get results. Ive been trying to help other people avoid this big mistake I made. The sad thing is I got both the tundra and the sequoia. My wife and I are devastated by the quality of the Toyota. Waste of our hard earned money.

 

My first post here, I have a 2023 Limited 4x4 with the extra cab and it has the vibration anywhere in the 70s if you hold speed steady. Very noticeable about 75mph. It's been to the dealer several times for weeks and finally the regional tech looked at it and said to replace the motor mounts.. i have little confidence this will do anything. It's clearly a rotational vibration of some sort.

 

If you noticed recently Toyota had the recall for non hybrid motors which developed a vibration before catastrophic failure. They said it was because debris was left in the motor during manufacture. I’m still waiting for Toyota to recall my tundra and sequoia but both are hybrids.

 

Unreal timing on the newly added post to this feed. Literally just picked up my Tundra after they've had it for almost a week. Regional Tech even came up for the start of it all. They ran it threw the gamut and still claiming it is normal for the vehicle and likely caused from tires drawing into a resonance at the speed and RPM that we are all seeing it at. This was my last chance for them to make things right. Don't know where to go from here other than joining the possible class action lawsuit with a group of others that have the same issue and also experiencing lack of commitment for Toyota to fix.
Many might say this is no big deal, but I can't believe that anyone would spend this kind of money and then just let this all go. It's a beautiful truck, probably the smoothest riding vehicle I've ever driven, and I thought I, and my kids, would be Toyota till I die. Instead, I sit here tonight with a pit in my stomach, infuriated that the equity from my family's last Tundra that I sold by this new truck is completely gone and wasted, and feel like I failed my family and and how hard we work for the money we earn.

 

I know how you feel man. I bought a tundra and sequoia so you know how I feel. I’ve been having a lot of firms hit me up especially since the recall. I’m currently filtering out which law firm I want to go with. Many of the law firms seem very enthusiastic about litigation since the recall.

 

If anyone heard about class action you can post here. I haven’t heard of any yet but I’ve inquired at law firms. It’s just a matter of time before before a few if not many attorneys might see an opportunity given that many are complaining of this common issue with the tundras and sequoias. People have been saying/posting that Toyota has identified the problem as poor engineering but refuse to admit because the company will have to rectify the problem costing them $$$$$.
