What rules out GM 1/2 ton pickups for me is the size of the fuel tank and no option for a larger fuel tank like the F150. It's unacceptable if you're going to be towing over longer distances.

Toyota would really have to screw up for me to go back to GM. I had one in 2005 and drove it with 100,000 mile warranty. They had a known engine problem. They whole time I owned it. I was waiting for it to leave me stranded. Guy at work is diehard GMC fan. He has had problems and ended up trading it in every 36000 miles to stay under warranty. One he has now is a 2022 no problems so far.

I have always been a Chevrolet fan. Driving Toyota does not feel same. But, feels dependable and love that trade in value.

It may not be a 2023, but I’m trading in a 2015 GMC Sierra 1500 5.3l on a 2023 Tundra Platinum. I have 96k miles and have replaced the center screen (45k miles), a/c (71k miles), starter (85k miles) and transmission (95k miles).I have always maintained it to manufacturer recommended service schedule and tow a 6k camper a couple times a year, so I don’t think the truck was ill used. Maybe I had a lemon, but I’m going with Toyota for one big reason: reliability.
