Tow haul mode might do it. In the interview with Sweers he said it was not deployed while towing but didn't say how the truck sensed it was towing to turn it off.

    lol... It's latin actually.
In layman's terms it's the logical fallacy of extending someone's argument to ridiculous proportions and then criticizing the result.

It doesn't help that the XD had a horrible Cummins v6 plagued with problems. I truly think the 5/8 segmant would fill many of toyota loyal customers needs. Hell just give something wiht more payload capacity than a honda Civic. You'd max out the payload the top tier tundra with 5 full grown men!

The HD segment costed more due to the 10k diesel options.

That's the biggest disappointment from toyota. They spent 14 years to only MATCH the big 3. I have only owned Toyota all my life. But at this point, the tundra is a big let down

So in the video he said the TRD Pro has 9 inches of ground clearance overall with the 1 inch lift....I hope he is off on that figure.

I saw that but there is another set of clearances that are in the 8's on that sheet as well, I am guessing those are with the air dam, and I find it hard to believe watching that video that the truck has anywhere near 11 inches of ground clearance, they have all looked low. I had a Ram 2500 4x4 that did have 11 inches of ground clearance stock, and it was pretty obvious...

Arent all the ground clearance numbers on stat sheets maximum clearance, so it would be from the pumpkin? Or do they all cheat that...Its been a while since I checked a manufacturers ground clearance math...lol

theres been a few things incorrect or not clearly explained on that spec sheet.

    to name a few:
-spec sheet says the pano roof isn’t available on the SR5 but Toyota had them available at the Texas fair.
-Says the rear vertical window isn’t available, on the SR5 (it does say crewmax only, but) again, lots of videos show Crewmax SR5s with the rear vertical window.
-Near the end of the spec sheet it says the TRD off road 4x4 package isn’t available on the SR5, but there’s videos of Toyota lending them out to reporters. Here’s one:

    https://youtu.be/FjDn7ThXlrs

Oh well, I guess if the info was straight forward and everything was clearly put out there, we wouldn’t have had nearly 600 pages of fun!

edit: disregard on the SR5 TRD off road package. The spec sheet DOES have it on there, just in two different spots - one of them does mention it is optional for the SR5.

2nd edit: I was just chatting with one of the reporters “TRD Jon” and asked him about the rear power vertical glass. According to him, ALL Crewmax cabs, regardless of trim, will have the power rear vertical glass.

Interestingly enough, at 12:43 this is the first time the TRD exhaust hasn’t sounded terrible. It’s no V8. But not half bad.

Sounds better during regular driving Vs when some of these reviewers just stomp on it.
