My cousin has a white 2019 F150 and you can barely noice the wavy panels. But look on the more “brilliant” colors and its quite noticeable to an untrained eye as myself. I am not sure of the repair process myself either but point being I could only imagine repairs after an MVA making the waves even more noticeable… Honesty though I am purely speculating at this point.
I have no doubt of aluminums longevity or corrosion resistance. Personally I question the corrections necessary after an accident and weather it will look as good as a steel panel after.

Not sure if it’s a typo, but it’s looking like no TRD Off Road in Limited 4x4

Nice catch, stupid they would offer it in 2WD but not 4WD.

I also thought they said in the reveal videos that the TRD offroad package was not offered in the Platinum. But it is on the spec sheet.

Nothing official on the weights of individual options yet.

The old sway bars may not work quite the same on the new truck, because it's a completely new rear suspension. Have to wait and see what the aftermarket guys come up with.

As far as payload, you can't change it. Adding anything aftermarket to the truck will decrease your payload by the weight of the added item. Sway bars, air bags, shocks, springs, etc. do not increase your payload. The entirety of the vehicle and it's operation is taken into account with that payload rating, so things like cooling, braking, structural integrity, and even accident performance/crumple zones are all factors. Putting in beefier springs or air bags will make the truck squat less, but payload isn't about how the truck looks when it's loaded.

When I bought the 2007 Tundra it was a no-brainer decision. I'm not feeling that way with Gen3. The verdict is still out for me, what with not having firm MPG #s and price, but Toyota took 15 years to 'upgrade' to the middle of the pack, it seems.

I think typo as well because they have shown Limited with the TRD Off-Road package at all of the press events so far

need a interior size chart for the new one vs the old one so we can see if the size changed

and does anyone know if those 0-60 and MPGs are official or just reviewers? And which set were correct?

Previous posts said that Sweers "said EPA numbers are being certified" so nothing right now is official. General rule: If it's not on Toyota's website, it's not official.

I dont have insider information or am somebody special. A Sales Manager of a Yota dealer has a daughter that plays soccer with my daughter for the past 3 years. We hang out on soccer trips and he is a good dude overall and I don't bother him too much.

This board has had more information than when dealers were given over the past year magically.....

Take with a grain of salt, but I asked him when pricing comes out and if he knew anything. Knew absolutely nothing, but expects it at end of month.

Just speculation and a few things he heard but expect big increase in prices according to him. This puts the new Tundra on par with what the domestics are and they are selling just fine.

    Pro/1794 -$70k+
    Platinum - Upper $60's
Limited - Low to Mid 60's
SR5 - Low to high 50's depending on options
SR - low to mid 40's

Those are MSRP and before any markup.

That red one seems to be their favourite promo vehicle. Would be pretty bad if they had it pasted everywhere in the media introductions and then it wasn't actually available LOL

...I also happen to be trying to order one.

Was he not reviewing a Limited 4x4 CC short bed in the video of the red truck a few pages back? It was the non-hybrid and he stated that the yellow sticker on the door jam for max payload was 1,400 lbs.

The problem with those numbers is that with the domestics that maybe the MSRP, but then you can typically get $10 grand off of that price in a normal market and Toyota doesn't play those games so I would expect the Tundra prices to be lower than domestics unless those days are over.

Specs seem to say the 6.5CM is shorter and has smaller turning radius than a 6.5DC, but I'm reading on the phone. Seems unusual

Pretty lame to cut the rear power window and trd offroad package from SR5 models. I don't want to spend on other luxury features unnecessary to me for those options. Gonna hope my 17 lasts a long time.

My reliable dealer source seems to think it will be a small MSRP increase over previous gen models (1-2k depending). He's basing this on the typical price increase pattern from Toyota recently with Highlander amd Sienna.

However, the truck market is red hot right now, so who knows where it will end up.

You can get the rear sliding window on an SR5 trim. Just has to be the Crewmax cab. You just can’t get it on a dual cab.

I was eyeballing a 1794. But if those #s are close to true that would put me out of the 1/2 ton market and I'd just move up to 3/4 or 1 tons.

    A bunch
Felt like the 2021 Tundra was still competitive and even though it has an all new engine, frame, suspension it doesn't feel like the 2022 is a significant step up. Definitely not getting the feeling it's enough of an upgrade over my 2016 to go back into debt for.

Other than a possible 14" screen what does it truly offer? MPG is a minor improvement, power won't be noticeable, towing over 8k lbs is HD territory anyways. If my 2016 was a Crewmax I'm pretty sure I would stop paying attention to the 3rd gen info releases. Just goes to show how good the 2007 Tundra is/was.

you still get the rear vertical power window with the SR5 trim in the Crewmax (they just don’t offer it in a dual cab - never did).
You can also get the TRD packages in an SR5.

I don't believe him. There is evidence of a Limited with TRD OR Package being less than $57k with the NASCAR promotion, and I just really really don't see the upper trims crossing the $70k mark.
