Someone who never owned a boat must have come up with that quote.

Wrong....if you live in area where you could use a boat 3/4 of the year and enjoyed the things a boat is used for and used it often as many do your point is False!

You do know what B.O.A.T. actually means right?

    Bring out another thousand.

Boat ownership is the most expensive hobby out there.

They cant really hold your deposit on an open ended deal?

No one yet knows what MSRP even is so all your deposit does is hold your place in an imaginary line until they can write a real contract if they ever do know what they will cost

I live close enough to a lake that I could see it from my house if the trees weren't in the way so it is YOUR point that is false

A lake in dallas..more like a pond...Ive owned boats since i was 16 yrs. old. and still own them at 58. If you purchase a inboard/out bored out, supercharged, etc. yea they can be expensive to repair...Outboards Yamaha or Mercury - very little cost as far as repairs, shit breaking, etc.
But what do I know -
BS - Most of yall with you mods spend more on your Tundra than any boat expense

My dad bought his boat in 1986 and the only major cost to date has been replacing the leg after my mom hit a rock. But he's done pretty much any other work needed himself, including replacing all the wiring that a muskrat chewed. (We don't keep the boat in the water overnight any more.)

You should be good to go with the 4 runner, those are built in Japan.

He probably just looked at the listed on line inventory.....almost all the dealerships across the country are getting a bunch of 2WD tundras in and making it look like they are flush in Tundras, but if you look close at the inventory they are almost all 2WD

4WD is not just something you need in the cold, 2WD trucks can get stuck in wet grass in the south...not to mention slick red clay.

You are more than likely correct...just looked at the dealership in question, they have 2 Pros and 4 SR5 in 4x4...77 RWD

Hey been gone a while from this forum. Did Toyota reveal the new Tundra? And what's up with the gen 2.5? But seriously it's nice that It finally happened but I'm happy with my 2012. Happy Friday!

My understanding from trying to get a specific build, is that customer orders don't exist with Toyota. If you go to your dealership and "order" one, what they do is request the closest thing to that build be allocated to them. The customer has no affect on what Toyota builds, Toyota already knows what percentage of each trim/color to put out, you just gotta hope you can find one that matches your needs. I'm in a "South East Toyota" market, so maybe it differs in other parts of the country. I've also noticed that tint, accessories, paint protection, most of the typical add-ons get put on at SET distribution, before the dealer receives it.
