I thought the TRD OR only comes with 18" wheels on the SR5.

Google Strawberry Milkshake, 4 runner and Toyota and pack a lunch...lol....Toyota has their fair share

Google the same and replace 4 runner with Tundra and you will see the same...

Its a possible catastrophic failure point...I hope this truck does not use that design to cool the transmission.

Looks like the SR5 is the package I'll be wanting. Seems equivalent to my Limited. Do you know if leather seats are available? My goal is to get heater leather seats without a sunroof. Oh, and do you know about the adjustability of the passengers seat? My wife complains that the passenger seat in my '19 doesn't adjust up/down like the drivers does.

Someone else asked several pages back but what is with the "increased engine output" on some models?

I searched and didn’t see any failures with the Gen 2 or 2.5, only Gen 1. There was one thread about it but no definite answer. I thought it couldn’t mix because of the way the thermostat is designed. As far as I know, no one knows how the 2022 is designed except Toyota though so we will see.

Anyone watch the NASCAR truck race last night? Octane orange 2022 Tundra was the pace truck.. plenty of good video to see all the angles of the truck.

So i just saw Toyotas advert for their nascar truck and the shading applied to the body lines, to me at least, really helped up its appearance. Inspired me to make a quick edit to try and better the TRDpro's appearance also giving into the option of the 3 inch lift. i think it looks pretty good with some mascara to emphasize its lines. Strawberry milkshake affected 2004-2006 Nissan trucks and SUVs. By 2007 the problem was eliminated. This coincides with when Gen2 Tundra was released.
Since it affected both Toyota and Nissan, I wonder if they were using the same radiator manufacturer? Probably.

The more I think about it thinking I will get the 1974 edition. I mean it was the year I was born. And it's the year the Ranch dressing was created. It my favorite on any salad.

I may be with you on the SR5 as I have a strong feeling that I may be priced out of the higher trims. I'd almost rather it not come with leather because I've been eyeballing the Katzkin Degreez and rather spend the money on a better product. If I do get a package with leather, down the road I may end up swapping it to Katzkin due to my experiences with factory leather. If I stay consistent and dependability remains, I'll own the truck longer than most owners do.

I figure we will have a pretty good snapshot of dependability and the common issues ironed out by 2025/26......That should give enough time for any common early issues to pop up and enough of them on the road with some mileage for any of those mid mileage/just after warranty issues to come up.

I tow a 7k Airstream with my 2008 Crewmax. When loaded for camping, I am within 100lbs of my rear axle ratings. So, the 300lb reduction in rear axle rating in the 2022 Tundra does not help me. Was also looking for a little higher payload in the 2022. I currently have 1325lbs of payload in my 2008 Tundra and it hasn’t snapped the frame in half yet. I also have the small 26 gallon tank and get 9-10 towing. So, the new 32 gallon tank wont help much if I’m still getting similar towing mpg. However, the hybrid torque numbers are intriguing.
Time will tell and I will wait & see some future numbers to be released. I will also wait & see how both motors perform in the towing department before I will purchase a new Tundra. If the numbers don’t work, then I will have to look at 3/4 tons to suit my needs. NOT what I want to do…

I don't believe that's been announced yet unless I missed it. I suspect that the Limited will be available with a standard bed crew cab and the Platinum and up will not but that's strictly a guess based on what the big 3 are doing.

With everyone arguing about names of things (like bed lengths and generations) it's hard to tell what the question was or what this answer is saying. Toyota has already shown pictures of the higher trims of the new Tundra in Crew Max with the 6.5 foot bed. I can't speak for the other 2 of the big 3 but Ford offers the crew cab with a 6.5 foot bed on their Platinum, Lariat, King Ranch, XLT and possible others but not on the Limited, Tremor or Raptor - on those you're stuck with the tiny 5.5 foot bed.

Anyone have a pointer to a video of a silver 2022 Tundra? I don't recall having seen one of that color yet. Did a youtube search, nothing there that I could find either. If you could post a link here, that would be appreciated.

Yeah, that's exactly why I'm thinking what I am. Like GM offering a 6.5 ft bed on the High Country and SLT but not the Denali.

How come I thought the Tremor was an off road package you could add to any truck similar to FX4 or Z71/X31?

FYI I bought mine in early 2020 and was able to negotiate $7025 off msrp/no trade in. Not as much as say a year earlier but really good compared to now. Took advantage of the used truck prices and I sold it in June of this year for $7000 more than I paid. Picked up a used (really used) 1996 F150 to drive till hopefully the market cools off and I can get a 2022/2023.
