It'll be interesting to see how covers like the Diamondback work with that lip on the tailgate.

Does the hybrid really get rid of storage under the rear bench?

I'm curious about the TRD Package on the Limited, Platinum and 1794. I'd really like to be able to compare how a limited looks with and without the package.

If there's a DC, open the rear door and get a pic of the seating area and door opening.

I'd love to see some more pictures of the SR and SR5 trims, with and without the TRD Off Road package if possible. Exterior and interior and what options are available for them (power seats, trailer package etc)

Seeing the Pro and Limited trims is all well and good, but let's face it. Most people aren't buying those. The SR and SR5 are the "every man's" truck.

While I tend to agree with this statement, at the same time I'd be doing the spacer lift I'd also be asking them to swap out the new tires on the truck for larger ones (and getting a credit for them at the same time towards the new ones.) Also there is the reality that dealer installed options are covered under warranty. Aftermarket are not. And yes, I know, they would have to prove your aftermarket accessories caused the issue before they could reject your warranty claim but how much of a hassle would that be? If they charged 500 bucks for a 100 dollar spacer lift I would probably do it just for those benefits and reduced hassle. 4k and they could suck it.

Ask about the Electric Motor “MGR”, does it replace the starter, similar to other hybrids? And my only concern is the “clutch” that engages the MGR could be the weak link in the new drivetrain? Normally I would consider the Hybrid CVT the most reliable part.. But the “clutch” and MGR sandwiched between the motor and transmission is not a typical Toyota Hybrid .

This is all totally speculative. Maybe it’s an awesome TRD Pro fox shock lift with upper A arms and an amazing tune that will blow all after market lifts out of the water- increase payload and enhance ride.. probably just a spacer lift but a 3” spacer is pretty aggressive. I’m going to wait for the actual product and see what they’ve got. I’m going to hope for a quality lift mildly more expensive than doing it elsewhere. And I’ll probably pull the trigger on it so it’s done and rolls off the showroom floor prepared for 35s at discount tire on the way home.

How much storage is behind the back seats of the hybrid, since under seat storage is gone.

I have been looking for any weight information about the new Tundra. Have you seen anything listing their weight differences compared to the previous generation?

I think you are accurate for the base double cab 2wd, but overly optimistic for a crewcab 4wd.

Can you find the exterior length? I found on a fb forum that it is now 233.5 inches. Kind of hard to believe since the crewmax still has 5.5ft bed.. where did all the new space go to?

I took my older son shopping for a Tacoma a few months back. He LOVES my Tundra and wanted one, but didn't want to pay the price so I talked him into a Tacoma.
I sat in the back seat and got back out to make sure I actually got in a crew cab model instead of the double cab model. I couldn't believe how cramped it was back there. I am not a big dude either. 6ft 200lbs.

I hope they really update that aspect for the next gen.

I did basically the same thing as you. I got behind my drivers seat and my knees were jammed in the back of the seat. I’m also pretty normal at 5’11 190lbs. After a few trips with the kids and some luggage we got a hell of a trade in offer for a tundra and I ended up only losing $63 on the Tacoma after a year of ownership and 10k miles.
