    Stock for now
A dealer has a $10k markup on a current gen Sequoia TRD PRO. and has used units at original MSRP. These are crazy times.

At 15k over they will sell very few if any. It's not a Raptor, TRX or some other specialty truck, people simply won't pay that for a Toyota.

Sorry if its been discussed before since I can’t keep up with this thread, but has it been discussed that Toyota announced in an ad that the regular engine trucks will be available December 2021 and the hybrids March 2022?

IMO his hybrid guess is pretty aggressive.

Easiest comparison is the other 3.5L turbo hybrid 10 speed truck on the market, the F150 powerboost, which gets 24 city 24 highway. Personally I'd expect in the low 20s.

agreed the SR5 is the best looking truck of the new tundras. The blacked out no crome look is perfect.

My only complaint is the tailgate is too noisy.. Wish they would have made it a flat black bar across the top rather than the wavy thing going on.
Now if only they add the hybrid option to the SR5 I'd be trading in my Tacoma without a question.. Maybe in a year or two they'll come to their senses and make it an option across all the trims.

Why would you buy anything? You can't have hit a million miles on your truck yet.

I have to admit...original pics and such of the 2022 Tundra made it look, frankly, like complete @$$.

Seeing *actual* pics of the new Tundra is a completely different thing. Still not the biggest fan of some styling cues, but it looks FAR better in 'real-world' pics and use than what we saw early on.

Shorter wheelbase for more maneuverability. Crew cab short boxes are still the most popular configuration despite the big 3 offering a crew cab standard box since at least 2014.

I've literally binged every video on the Tundra by every youtube sensation. Some of them twice and yes, on the TFL Truck vids, he says no less than twice in TWO different videos that the Tundra makes its numbers on 87 octane - no premium fuel required. AND, I'm pretty sure somehwere in this forum is a screenshot of the manual indicating 87 octane.

No way is Toyota going to build a vehicle that essentially requires the 'base' engine need premium fuel.

Tundradude 34 didn't do his homework on this one, I think.

The new Tundra does have a trans cooler.

    Integrated into the radiator.

    That's probably what they mean.

Everyone seems to prefer separate external cooler.

I have a suspicion that the new Tundra is going to be the quickest vehicle in their line up. I'll be interested to see a TFLTrucks video with a drag race between the 3rd gen Raptor and the Hybrid Tundra.

I think people have seen "91 Ron" in the manual and have been reading that as US 91, when in fact it's 87 in US

I like this one the best.:rofl:Put the black TRD wheels on it, and done! This is Toyota’s work truck model. Are we 100% sure that it will not come with a 6-seater option?
Wait them out. You don’t need to buy a new truck, but they absolutely need to sell them.

I certainly heard, I think it was TFL say the transmission cooler would be standard. Or it was the official release video

I think Andre at TFL owns a base model F-150 PB and it handily beats the Raptor.
I still think F-150s will be faster, as they weigh significantly less. And they can be fitted with different gearing. Toyota has stated the Tundra only gets one gearset choice

Pieces of the truck would fly off if that was a domestic.

Just thinking out loud here. If/When there's an electric Tundra, it has to be Lithium, right? You think at that point, the Tundra Hybrid switches to Lithium or stays Nickel? I realize sourcing it was a problem.

I really hope so. I don't care really about top speed in a vehicle, but I do like to step on the gas at a red light.

I saw this too. He's calculating his MPG from a vehicle in the M.E. with less/no emissions crap in the way and he admits that by explaining the higher HP. But he neglects to say that with less/no emissions crap fuel mileage also increases. Then he uses that higher fuel mileage as the basis for his guess.

I think he's higher than it will be: he's not allowing for the emissions crap the domestic engine has to have, so I don't expect 28mpg. I expect more like 25, maybe 26.

Can confirm. My wife’s Camry has about 6 more inches of rear leg room then my 2020 Tacoma did.

It beats the last gen Raptor, not sure if is is quicker than the new one, but I could be wrong. I think that would be a bad look for Ford if the new Raptor was slower.
