These systems won't prevent all other kinds of bad things from happening, like hitting the boat dock, low hanging branches, pushing trailer into fixed objects.
It's best to really know what you're doing when towing, and being able to back up demonstrates some of the necessary skill needed.

How does one learn to back a trailer if they can't get in a truck?

I realize that having better fuel efficiency is a goal, but I alway think “show Me the money” quote. So if you get better gas milage but with premium fuel, usually that is 10% above the cost of regular unleaded. That’s for ethanol’s unleaded. To get ethanol free premium, add another 10 to 25 % more for a premium. The manufacturer’s milage statements have to be taken with a grain of salt imo. That being said, the cost between a old 5.7 NA and the 3.4 TT may not be that significant.

Finally a industry breaking feature. I feel like camper and trailer sales are up and for those first timers this a great feature.

ya thats going to help a lot of people.

I can back a trailer fine but Ive done it for years, but there is nothing wrong with having feature with the truck that takes it straight back.

Has anyone seen if the rear seat backs on the crew max will actually be able to fold down so we can utilize the space behind the seats?

This is entirely staged marketing stuff and not in the wild in any way!

They are in Vegas for the Dealers to see the truck for the first time and setup these closed courses for that.

Agreed, I'm sure the SR5 for the states won't have heated seats and steering wheel as a standard feature.

Apples and oranges my man. I can spin my tires on my bicycle with my legs if I stand up and press down as hard as I can in the right gear.

not really what I meant. I just meant its real video of trucks not marketing photos or trucks on a stage under professional lighting, etc.

just real video is what I was trying to get at.

And this changes what I wrote how exactly?

This is entirely a staged dog & pony show put on for salespeople and not really an honest demo in the field.

It is official, the hybrid power train will require premium fuel or else you will see a drop in power. Not sure how much.

I apologize, I should have been clearer. I think there's a lot of questions that have yet to be answered for those of us willing to be early adopters and get their trucks early.

When is it available, and in what configurations?
    What's the pricing?
What's the likelihood of everything getting delayed because of chip shortages?
What's the likelihood my dealer squeezes me for a $5k market adjustment?
What's the mileage difference between the hybrid and non hybrid? And the price difference?
I need more info on packages.

I've been watching videos on the new tundra, and reading speculation for the better part of a year. I need a vehicle in January. They debuted the truck, I like the truck, I don't think it's too much for them to tell us how much the truck will cost and when it'll be available. If Toyota didn't know anything about actually being able to sell the product, why did you debut it?

I'll be honest with you guys...this endless waiting game only makes sense if you specifically want a Tundra. If I wanted to pay $1000 down to get on a list and wait patiently, dealing with production delay after production delay for a $70k eco friendly truck, at what point do I say F. it and go get in line for a Rivian?

Not really confirmed. It's just using the email footnotes from an email that another user posted.

That's an email from Toyota, that's pretty official. But I do believe that this is limited to only the hybrid powertrain.
