I wonder if they’ll change the gvwr for the hybrid models to keep the payload the same between power trains. Like the do with the 4x4/4x2 now.

I'm not obsessing I just don't like them. They're great for people who mod their vehicles but I have to think the % of Toyo customers that do that is pretty low.

Must be a boring life when you worry about other people's money.

If gas mileage is a worry you really don't need a big boy truck.

I haven't seen that confirmed for the non-hybrid, have you?

if so, thats putting it on the ford which peaks at 3,500, thats a big difference. I just haven't seen that non-hybrid RPM peak listed, only for the hybrid.

It would suck if the sr5 doesn’t come standard with automatic start. I wind what that option will cost extra?

Well my friend is there in Vegas waiting to drive one right now.

He says no pricing, build sheets or mileage specs at all for them to bring home.

Only CM to drive and see but they look like production trucks to him.

Doesnt think anything will ship before spring too?

sure do, but I didn't put that deposit down without first spending hours going over the numbers to make sure I could afford it.

I would venture to say that spending 60k on a truck qualifies more in your statement than someone who doesn't follow their MPG.

Complete assumption, but electric motors make 100% torque at 1 rpm. So I would assume that the max torque of the hybrid would be at the same rpm as the gas motor since the electric motor is always making max torque.

If you talk to him again, can you have him grab the payloads off the yellow sticker on the door jams, I'm real interested in seeing what a CC Limited is coming in at. Thanks.

Oh... I think I see now. I'm the "bad guy" because I can afford to spend $60k on a truck? Well I got there by being careful what I spend and watching where my money goes (like gasoline for example).

Speedometer being "off" is common. I feel like it's always too fast, which would technically end your warranty sooner

What's the chances that the non-hybrid Limited will be available with the 360 camera package as either standard or option?

I didn't see it listed on any of the trims, but I know they showed it in some of the videos.

    Limited (CrewMax, 5.5' Box)
    • 20" Alloy Wheels
    • 14" Touch Screen
    • Softex Seats
    • Front Ventilated Seats
    • Power Folding EC Side View Mirrors
    • EC Rear View Mirror with GDO
    • Wireless Charger
    • 400w Bed Outlet
    • Panoramic Moonroof
Limited TRD Off Road (CrewMax, 5.5' Box)
    • 18" Alloy Wheels
    • TRD Heated Steering Wheel
    • Multi-Terrain Monitor
    • Down Assist Control, Crawl Control, Multi Terrain Select
    • Rear Locking Differential
    • TRD Off Road Shocks

Guaranteed option. If it's not that's a huge miss for a trim called Limited. But could be an option that requires the hybrid.

Ah, that time of day when you lot've been sitting too long in your diapers and it starts leaking down your leg. :angrygirl: I get it. It makes you all grumpy. Time to step away from the keyboard, get a change, take a nap, maybe take a walk in the park and get some fresh air... Then you be like :)

I've tried asking several dealers this (the dealers around me seem to be hesitant to put anyone on a list). One told me it'll be available. The rest are silent.

I'm going to go out on a limb here: I honestly don't think they know.

I watched a Toyota mechanic youtube channel yesterday on this very subject. He explained that the battery packs are designed last 15-20 years and 'up to' 300,000 miles and cost about 3-4 grand to replace (2021 dollars). He emphasized however that the most important thing you can do to get the most out of the packs is to clean the filter that helps keep them cool. Neglect that and you'll be replacing the pack a lot sooner, he said.

I always worry about gas prices/fuel mileage in my cars so I'm as guilty of this 'obsession' as anyone else. But it's kind of comical that we will finance $50,000 no problem (paying $65,000 to the bank over the term) but nickel and dime our fuel purchases and worry about MPG. I suppose if we could finance our fuel purchases over the life of owning the vehicle we wouldn't have anything to complain about.

You are correct! Almost all the features in the 2022 Tundra are in my 2013 Landcruiser, honestly the 2022 Tundra is all old tech with a new GUI. Other than the rear coil suspension and the hybrid engine I'm pretty underwhelmed. If I was in the market for a new pickup I would totally buy one.

You should take a look at the 2021 Lexus GX460, everything but the front and rear fascias are exactly the same as the 2010.
